[2012/04/01 12:03] Roken Price: /me points in a random direction
[2012/04/01 12:03] Nebadon Izumi: I don't really have anything much to talk about at todays meeting, nothing specific anyway, but if anyone wants to talk about something feel free to bring it up
[2012/04/01 12:03] Roken Price: I think it's over there
[2012/04/01 12:03] Richardus Raymaker: hallo marks
[2012/04/01 12:03] Allen Kerensky: so, Neb, is it true you're tired of the abuse and taking OSG down?
[2012/04/01 12:04] Nebadon Izumi: lol what?
[2012/04/01 12:04] Allen Kerensky: april fools?
[2012/04/01 12:04] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[2012/04/01 12:04] Jeeper Shim: lol
[2012/04/01 12:04] Key Gruin: lol
[2012/04/01 12:04] Mafkees Marks: hey alll
[2012/04/01 12:04] Key Gruin: hi Mafkees
[2012/04/01 12:04] Jeeper Shim: that woujld have been good for the April OSGazet
[2012/04/01 12:04] Misty Owl: rofl, I had forgotten that was today. First joke I have seen.
[2012/04/01 12:04] Jeeper Shim: lol
[2012/04/01 12:04] Richardus Raymaker: nebadon, the mesh train runs much smoother :) oh and i have it running with ode again to
[2012/04/01 12:04] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[2012/04/01 12:05] Nebadon Izumi: cool Richardus
[2012/04/01 12:05] Allen Kerensky: so, is it true that you've been hired by LL adn OSG is going to become the new Aditi grid?
[2012/04/01 12:05] Nebadon Izumi: you figured out how to flip normals?
[2012/04/01 12:05] Richardus Raymaker: No. beause nothing is wrong. and yes i know howto flip normals
[2012/04/01 12:05] Nebadon Izumi: cool
[2012/04/01 12:06] Richardus Raymaker: but i need to fix some caps etc in the mesh build.
[2012/04/01 12:06] Allen Kerensky: all I want to do is flip OFF normals - they are alwasy inside out when i do the first mesh import
[2012/04/01 12:06] Richardus Raymaker: oh in sl the train would be count as 200 parcel prims.
[2012/04/01 12:06] Roken Price: I still can't work out why the grids all run on tris rather than quads - quads deform much more easily and would half the polygons
[2012/04/01 12:06] Richardus Raymaker: 2000 parcel prims
[2012/04/01 12:07] Allen Kerensky: tris came first - quads appeared later - so, back in the Devonian ages of 3D, tris were teh first poly to emerge from the vertex sea
[2012/04/01 12:07] Richardus Raymaker: i have seen (shame not hewre) a mesh mountain. well thats something i go use to
[2012/04/01 12:08] Allen Kerensky: once exposed to the warming light of the cathode rays, the tris mutated into quads
[2012/04/01 12:08] Roken Price: I know tris came first - my first 3D work was using Real3D on Amiga - but these days any 3D modeller worth his salt avoids tris like the plague - yet here we are surrounded by them
[2012/04/01 12:08] Nebadon Izumi: lol Allen
[2012/04/01 12:08] Richardus Raymaker: mesh mountains on mega more easy i think
[2012/04/01 12:09] Allen Kerensky: Roken I think it has something to do with the base tesselation and mesh management enginers in earlier GL
[2012/04/01 12:09] Richardus Raymaker: roken. i hear LL is suprior in doing things strange..
[2012/04/01 12:09] Nebadon Izumi: I have not done much with mesh lately
[2012/04/01 12:09] Roken Price: Allen - you're probably right - I suspect it's a by product of OGL evolving through generations
[2012/04/01 12:10] Richardus Raymaker: i have my train. so it can take a while before i do again something with it. or not...
[2012/04/01 12:12] Jeeper Shim: Allen, is it me or are your sitting in the air facing the wrong way?
[2012/04/01 12:14] Richardus Raymaker: always more things todo then you can do
[2012/04/01 12:14] Nebadon Izumi: hmm
[2012/04/01 12:14] Nebadon Izumi: sim seems frozen up
[2012/04/01 12:14] Jeeper Shim: are we crashed? lol
[2012/04/01 12:14] Richardus Raymaker: aah, nebadon. your working on NPC stuff. thats fun to
[2012/04/01 12:14] Richardus Raymaker: ohoh ?
[2012/04/01 12:15] Key Gruin: I think that was the exit stage left pose
[2012/04/01 12:17] Key Gruin: it was froze
[2012/04/01 12:17] Misty Owl: Did we just have a minor crash.. everyone is showing that they are coming back in view.
[2012/04/01 12:18] Key Gruin: my chat isnt showing up
[2012/04/01 12:18] Key Gruin: unless you see this lol
[2012/04/01 12:18] Key Gruin: but I dont
[2012/04/01 12:18] Mafkees Marks: laggy :P
[2012/04/01 12:18] Richardus Raymaker: Nope...
[2012/04/01 12:18] Richardus Raymaker: but hugh lag
[2012/04/01 12:39] Arthur Numbanumba: nvm
[2012/04/01 12:39] Arthur Numbanumba: google for it
[2012/04/01 12:39] Arthur Numbanumba: ;-)
[2012/04/01 12:40] Arthur Numbanumba: can i get some info? like what is discussed at these meetings? :-)
[2012/04/01 12:40] Rieeda X: nah
[2012/04/01 12:40] Misty Owl: Arthur, there is a blog for the meetings. see if I can find it
[2012/04/01 12:40] Rieeda X: smiles
[2012/04/01 12:41] Rieeda X: does anyone else runs a cogbot in osgrid?
[2012/04/01 12:41] Arthur Numbanumba: Misty... oooh... is there... please yes, ty :-)
[2012/04/01 12:41] Rieeda X: why not?
[2012/04/01 12:42] Key Gruin: hey everyone :)
[2012/04/01 12:42] Mafkees Marks: heyhey
[2012/04/01 12:42] Arthur Numbanumba: i think those NPCs are interesting...
[2012/04/01 12:42] hippie balbozar: hi key
[2012/04/01 12:42] Arthur Numbanumba: heya Key :-)
[2012/04/01 12:42] Rieeda X: it only s"sees" what normal ppl see as well, only localchat
[2012/04/01 12:42] Rieeda X: and what the ppl are doing, if typing or moving
[2012/04/01 12:43] Richardus Raymaker: NPC's are fun. and now i have phyics time for now down to normal numbers with verhicle. its only better
[2012/04/01 12:43] Twisted Stickfigure: Like a super radar hud?
[2012/04/01 12:43] Arthur Numbanumba: Rieeda... basically a log file sniffer ?
[2012/04/01 12:43] Rieeda X: but it throws some exeptions stacktrace and such and crashes twice today
[2012/04/01 12:43] Rieeda X: nooo
[2012/04/01 12:43] Rieeda X: not at all
[2012/04/01 12:43] Rieeda X: errm
[2012/04/01 12:43] Richardus Raymaker: i still dont really know howto see if someone copy..
[2012/04/01 12:43] Arthur Numbanumba: Richardus... i think i would agree yes... on the fun part
[2012/04/01 12:44] Rieeda X: i have no idea if it could made more trouble then on m ysim
[2012/04/01 12:44] Rieeda X: but i think no
[2012/04/01 12:44] Arthur Numbanumba: Rieeda... ok.... so not that simple in concept
[2012/04/01 12:45] Rieeda X: i want to make him talk with opencyc , but got no connection
[2012/04/01 12:45] Roken Price: I use a pandora script in mine
[2012/04/01 12:46] Rieeda X: in NPC?
[2012/04/01 12:46] Roken Price: yes
[2012/04/01 12:46] dan banner: hi jalen
[2012/04/01 12:47] Arthur Numbanumba: i'd like to take the opportunity to thank all devs for this wonderful world/program that makes our dream worlds possible... and i am happily donating a small amount of "root of all evil" to that cause... so, that's said
[2012/04/01 12:48] Arthur Numbanumba: ... and all dev supporters too ofcourse
[2012/04/01 12:48] Richardus Raymaker: "claps"
[2012/04/01 12:48] Arthur Numbanumba: \o/
[2012/04/01 12:48] Misty Owl: Seconds that :-)
[2012/04/01 12:48] Roken Price: I think everyone should be applauded. The devs provide the infrastructure, but the users create the content
[2012/04/01 12:48] Rieeda X: yes ,good said
[2012/04/01 12:48] Key Gruin: anyone notice if NPC's cause any issues on the server level? Increased memory use, cpu, etc
[2012/04/01 12:48] Roken Price: Much less than a real AV, key
[2012/04/01 12:48] Richardus Raymaker: i have not got time to play with it key. lol
[2012/04/01 12:48] dan banner: not really key
[2012/04/01 12:49] Key Gruin: and applause to all the hard working devs
[2012/04/01 12:49] dan banner: less than a client would have
[2012/04/01 12:49] Nebadon Izumi: Key Gruin it depends really on how many NPC's
[2012/04/01 12:49] Nebadon Izumi: how your controlling them
[2012/04/01 12:49] Key Gruin: ok yeah, I was wondering since Linda started getting really interested in them and was making a few
[2012/04/01 12:50] Roken Price: controlling them - wish someone would tell "Intelligent NPC" that I control - has a bloody mind of her own
[2012/04/01 12:50] Nebadon Izumi: from the testing i did its not a huge increase
[2012/04/01 12:50] Key Gruin: ok cool
[2012/04/01 12:50] Nebadon Izumi: but if your using tons of timers and sensors to control them
[2012/04/01 12:50] dan banner: hi sarah
[2012/04/01 12:50] Nebadon Izumi: then things can get a bit more harsh of course
[2012/04/01 12:50] Sarah Kline: hi
[2012/04/01 12:50] Nebadon Izumi: so you need to take care in how you control them
[2012/04/01 12:51] Key Gruin: yeah timers and sensors
[2012/04/01 12:51] Nebadon Izumi: thats why i was using the collision waypoints
[2012/04/01 12:51] Roken Price: I do notice a spike when mine reset their positions - but it's only momentary
[2012/04/01 12:51] Rieeda X: whats that?
[2012/04/01 12:51] Richardus Raymaker: well sensors + verhicles seems a bad combination. so not sure how its with npc's
[2012/04/01 12:51] Roken Price: because of the way mine move - I have the script set to reset their positions periodically, and I can tell when it's happening just from server load
[2012/04/01 12:51] Misty Owl: Wouldnt it be more of an issue about the number of scripts used to have one. Sorry, still learing about how all this works, so pardon dumb questions.
[2012/04/01 12:51] Richardus Raymaker: working on other not so easy to install way :O\
[2012/04/01 12:52] Rieeda X: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Pathfinding/Alpha_release_notes
[2012/04/01 12:52] dan banner: its whats in the script that matters more than the number of scripts
[2012/04/01 12:52] Rieeda X: is this the same?
[2012/04/01 12:53] dan banner: no rieeda
[2012/04/01 12:53] Rieeda X: ok then
[2012/04/01 12:54] Rieeda X: sometimes i have no controll over my keyboard , can this be a viewerissue?
[2012/04/01 12:54] Richardus Raymaker: ? in what way no control ?
[2012/04/01 12:54] dan banner: like you cant turn?
[2012/04/01 12:54] Roken Price: Usually (assuming it's not a user issue) I wopuld point to lag for that
[2012/04/01 12:54] Misty Owl: Ah, ty Dan.
[2012/04/01 12:55] dan banner: theres a "release keys" option
[2012/04/01 12:55] dan banner: to regain control
[2012/04/01 12:55] Rieeda X: ^^
[2012/04/01 12:55] Key Gruin: whats that, dan?
[2012/04/01 12:55] Rieeda X: in the viewer?
[2012/04/01 12:55] dan banner: world>release keys
[2012/04/01 12:55] Key Gruin: where?
[2012/04/01 12:56] Misty Owl: Mine is greyed out.
[2012/04/01 12:56] Rieeda X: what viewer do oyu have, dan?
[2012/04/01 12:56] dan banner: because nothing has them
[2012/04/01 12:56] Richardus Raymaker: because nothing have control of your keys misty
[2012/04/01 12:56] Key Gruin: don't see it in Phoenix
[2012/04/01 12:56] dan banner: rieeda: im using astra atm
[2012/04/01 12:56] Misty Owl: That makes sense, Richard, ty.
[2012/04/01 12:57] Rieeda X: can you recommend astra?
[2012/04/01 12:57] Richardus Raymaker: i dont use it. in my case i dont have audio.
[2012/04/01 12:57] Key Gruin: astra can be a frusttration in regards to apearance
[2012/04/01 12:57] dan banner: viewers always work different ways for different people
[2012/04/01 12:58] dan banner: but it works well for me
[2012/04/01 12:58] Oddball Otoole: some work, some don't
[2012/04/01 12:58] dan banner: yup
[2012/04/01 12:58] Oddball Otoole: v3 based viewers work the best for me
[2012/04/01 12:58] Roken Price: For me the one that works best is Firestorm v4 - but it's a crash fest. The most stable is coolvl her
[2012/04/01 12:58] dan banner: zen works really well
[2012/04/01 12:59] Sarah Kline: I'm sticking with Zen
[2012/04/01 12:59] dan banner: coolvl is missing too much stuff
[2012/04/01 12:59] Roken Price: Like what, dan?
[2012/04/01 12:59] Arthur Numbanumba: wanted to try Zen the other day... did wanna run... not 64bit compatible ?
[2012/04/01 12:59] dan banner: doesnt even have speel cheek
[2012/04/01 12:59] Roken Price: lol
[2012/04/01 12:59] Arthur Numbanumba: didn't wanna*
[2012/04/01 12:59] Misty Owl: lol
[2012/04/01 12:59] Key Gruin: I'm using Phoenix as a stepping stone to Zen
[2012/04/01 12:59] Oddball Otoole: official SL dev viewers usually works best for me. Don't ask why.
[2012/04/01 12:59] dan banner: or an AO
[2012/04/01 13:00] Key Gruin: not quite ready for the full v3 experience
[2012/04/01 13:00] Nebadon Izumi: same here Oddball
[2012/04/01 13:00] Sarah Kline: lol
[2012/04/01 13:00] Roken Price: I may try phoenix - though I had audio issues with it last time, but maybe it will be more stable than firestorm
[2012/04/01 13:00] Nebadon Izumi: if im using v3 i am using the LL Development one
[2012/04/01 13:00] Misty Owl: I love Phoenix, but been happy with Imprud on here. Just miss my copy and paste options.
[2012/04/01 13:00] Roken Price: The LL viewer is just too slow here
[2012/04/01 13:00] Nebadon Izumi: i don't care much for any of the TPV v3 based viewers at the moment
[2012/04/01 13:00] Rieeda X: i see
[2012/04/01 13:00] Oddball Otoole: I like firestorm for snapshots.
[2012/04/01 13:01] Roken Price: firestorm rendering is very nice, I have to say
[2012/04/01 13:01] Key Gruin: Astra has great graphics too
[2012/04/01 13:01] dan banner: i use imgur.com for snapshots
[2012/04/01 13:01] Nebadon Izumi: Astra is a v1.5 viewer
[2012/04/01 13:01] Oddball Otoole: lol dan
[2012/04/01 13:01] Richardus Raymaker: hmm, i use sibgularity here. and use a bit V3 viewers somewhere. but the keep terrible to work with. LL one on top.
[2012/04/01 13:01] Rieeda X: i have a general question about townhall meetings
[2012/04/01 13:01] Richardus Raymaker: sibgularity , phoenix or V1 with mesh
[2012/04/01 13:01] Nebadon Izumi: sure
[2012/04/01 13:01] Key Gruin: lol to each his own, every meeting has this same discussion :P
[2012/04/01 13:01] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[2012/04/01 13:01] Arthur Numbanumba: :-)
[2012/04/01 13:01] Nebadon Izumi: ya its all about personal preference mostly
[2012/04/01 13:02] Rieeda X: is there a special subject or just a meeting
[2012/04/01 13:02] Nebadon Izumi: to be honest I almost never use V3 viewer
[2012/04/01 13:02] Oddball Otoole: that's why we don't have em daily:)
[2012/04/01 13:02] Roken Price: And what works for you
[2012/04/01 13:02] Key Gruin: yeah and what works for you
[2012/04/01 13:02] dan banner: like picking a favorite color
[2012/04/01 13:02] Nebadon Izumi: unless someone asks me to test something
[2012/04/01 13:02] Key Gruin: no Rieeda
[2012/04/01 13:02] Nebadon Izumi: 99.9% of the time i use Imprudence
[2012/04/01 13:02] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[2012/04/01 13:02] Nebadon Izumi: cause it has the best build tools
[2012/04/01 13:02] Jalen Optera: its our chance to have Neb here with us
[2012/04/01 13:02] Misty Owl: It is discussing the weather when you run out of other things to talk about :-)
[2012/04/01 13:02] Key Gruin: its usually what ever poeple want to talk about
[2012/04/01 13:02] Roken Price: Imprudence is one of the best - but lacking mesh which is a deal breaker for me
[2012/04/01 13:02] Sarah Kline: that and forwarding your ports
[2012/04/01 13:02] Misty Owl: It is like.
[2012/04/01 13:02] Rieeda X: okay , good
[2012/04/01 13:03] Nebadon Izumi: ya its mostly just a meeting Rieeda, gives people a chance to voice any topic they feel is relevant to the grid
[2012/04/01 13:03] Nebadon Izumi: mostly an open forum
[2012/04/01 13:03] Oddball Otoole: when do we start with OSG5B preporations?
[2012/04/01 13:03] Roken Price: I have a question about Town Hall meetings
[2012/04/01 13:03] Richardus Raymaker: yes, but msingularity have sofar i see the same tools as imprdence. LL viewer is really not made for building
[2012/04/01 13:03] Roken Price: Why aren't they held in a Town Hall?
[2012/04/01 13:03] Misty Owl: lol
[2012/04/01 13:03] Sarah Kline: this is a town hall
[2012/04/01 13:03] Rieeda X: if you decide to end it i can login my bot to here . ;)
[2012/04/01 13:03] dan banner: this is the bade office town hall tower
[2012/04/01 13:04] Roken Price: Wow - a town hall without a town
[2012/04/01 13:04] Nebadon Izumi: hehe a town hall from my experience is just a room with chairs
[2012/04/01 13:04] Oddball Otoole: lol, bot...
[2012/04/01 13:04] Rieeda X: cogbot!
[2012/04/01 13:04] Rieeda X: he can make faces
[2012/04/01 13:04] Arthur Numbanumba: :-D ... and drinks Neb !
[2012/04/01 13:04] Oddball Otoole: 13:03] Oddball Otoole: when do we start with OSG5B preporations?
[2012/04/01 13:04] Sarah Kline: great chairs but can we commission Linda to make some new sits
[2012/04/01 13:04] Roken Price: Anyone know how the saving of Tasha's regions is coming along?
[2012/04/01 13:05] Nebadon Izumi: I am however a bit concerned with this sim
[2012/04/01 13:05] Nebadon Izumi: about its performance lately
[2012/04/01 13:05] Nebadon Izumi: i need to dig in some more i guess
[2012/04/01 13:05] Nebadon Izumi: and see if i can figure out why this sim runs so crappy lately
[2012/04/01 13:05] Richardus Raymaker: more a town skyscraper
[2012/04/01 13:05] Misty Owl: I have a questiong, why does my avie tend to start bouncing, then moving down to the lowest point on my sim?
[2012/04/01 13:05] Nebadon Izumi: doesnt make much sense
[2012/04/01 13:05] Roken Price: Neb - is it still running on a Commodore 64?
[2012/04/01 13:05] Oddball Otoole: took me an hour to get here:)
[2012/04/01 13:05] Sarah Kline: its hardly used Neb
[2012/04/01 13:05] Rieeda X: lool
[2012/04/01 13:05] Nebadon Izumi: ya its not all that primmy
[2012/04/01 13:05] Nebadon Izumi: there is hardly any scripts here
[2012/04/01 13:05] Richardus Raymaker: uhmm the still exist ?
[2012/04/01 13:05] Nebadon Izumi: it could be my sculpted terrain
[2012/04/01 13:05] Nebadon Izumi: i dunno
[2012/04/01 13:05] Richardus Raymaker: i think to disapear today
[2012/04/01 13:05] Richardus Raymaker: btw new osgazet is out
[2012/04/01 13:06] Nebadon Izumi: i havent been able to pinpoint it to anything particular
[2012/04/01 13:06] dan banner: physft is down low like it should be
[2012/04/01 13:06] Oddball Otoole: ah, your terrain was the only thing I saw when I first landed here today neb.
[2012/04/01 13:06] Sarah Kline: does take a while to rezz when people are on it
[2012/04/01 13:06] Nebadon Izumi: ya
[2012/04/01 13:06] Nebadon Izumi: i am starting to suspect that maybe my terrain is a problem
[2012/04/01 13:06] Nebadon Izumi: i dunno
[2012/04/01 13:06] Nebadon Izumi: i might remove it as a test for next meeting
[2012/04/01 13:06] Nebadon Izumi: it does hang way over the edge of the sim
[2012/04/01 13:07] Misty Owl: That would be better than removing the building.
[2012/04/01 13:07] Rieeda X: how comes?
[2012/04/01 13:07] Nebadon Izumi: maybe its freaking out physics
[2012/04/01 13:07] Roken Price: When I came back after the crash I was first here - and it was pretty bnippy then. It only crawled when people started arriving
[2012/04/01 13:07] Nebadon Izumi: i dunno, its phantom i think
[2012/04/01 13:07] Nebadon Izumi: so odd
[2012/04/01 13:07] Oddball Otoole:
[13:06] Oddball Otoole: ah, your terrain was the only thing I saw when I first landed here today neb.
[2012/04/01 13:07] Nebadon Izumi: ya it is phantom
[2012/04/01 13:07] dan banner: it is
[2012/04/01 13:07] Arthur Numbanumba: :-)
[2012/04/01 13:07] Rieeda X: it loked solid
[2012/04/01 13:07] Rieeda X: looked
[2012/04/01 13:07] Sarah Kline: night all has to sleeps ^^
[2012/04/01 13:07] Nebadon Izumi: see you Sarah
[2012/04/01 13:07] dan banner: bye sarah
[2012/04/01 13:07] Arthur Numbanumba: gn Sarah :-)
[2012/04/01 13:07] Key Gruin: g'night Sarah
[2012/04/01 13:07] Roken Price: g'nite Sarah
[2012/04/01 13:08] Richardus Raymaker: nite sarah
[2012/04/01 13:08] Oddball Otoole: Bsafe sarah.
[2012/04/01 13:08] Rieeda X: nn
[2012/04/01 13:08] Roken Price: Odd - all good with your screen sessions now?
[2012/04/01 13:08] Nebadon Izumi: its just odd that we only see these kind of problems on this sim
[2012/04/01 13:08] Nebadon Izumi: i mean we do see occaisonal freezing on Lbsa
[2012/04/01 13:08] Key Gruin: yeah it is odd
[2012/04/01 13:08] Nebadon Izumi: but im quite sure thats people passing inventory to each other
[2012/04/01 13:08] Oddball Otoole: wut?
[2012/04/01 13:08] Nebadon Izumi: it generally recovers pretty fast
[2012/04/01 13:08] Nebadon Izumi: here it seems to not recover
[2012/04/01 13:08] Nebadon Izumi: and it seems unlikely people are passing inventory when it happens
[2012/04/01 13:08] Key Gruin: being on the same server as lbsa, does that make any diff?
[2012/04/01 13:08] Nebadon Izumi: it shouldnt
[2012/04/01 13:09] Rieeda X: on my sim I found prims swiming and cicling,
[2012/04/01 13:09] Nebadon Izumi: i would think Lbsa would be suffering same wierdness
[2012/04/01 13:09] Nebadon Izumi: and it doesnt
[2012/04/01 13:09] Roken Price: Oddball - you were having problems with SSH and screen
[2012/04/01 13:09] Oddball Otoole: Roken: playing with it, gonna re-do my whole server structure on next server update.
[2012/04/01 13:09] Nebadon Izumi: it seems to be able to handle a much better load
[2012/04/01 13:09] Nebadon Izumi: very strange for sure
[2012/04/01 13:09] Roken Price: Ahh - OK
[2012/04/01 13:09] Nebadon Izumi: this region has always ran odd
[2012/04/01 13:09] Nebadon Izumi: its not really anything new
[2012/04/01 13:09] Nebadon Izumi: there is a lot of megaprims here
[2012/04/01 13:09] Oddball Otoole: I see a lots of 'odd' in chat:)
[2012/04/01 13:09] Nebadon Izumi: but that shouldnt make a difference i wouldnt think
[2012/04/01 13:10] Roken Price: A lot of empty floors in here, too
[2012/04/01 13:10] Nebadon Izumi: ya
[2012/04/01 13:10] Rieeda X: it is a nice building
[2012/04/01 13:10] Rieeda X: i like the base
[2012/04/01 13:10] Nebadon Izumi: ya its a nice building its just a bit hard to utilize it
[2012/04/01 13:10] Richardus Raymaker: still on windows server ? :O
[2012/04/01 13:10] Nebadon Izumi: heh no
[2012/04/01 13:10] Rieeda X: you want to give it a makeover?
[2012/04/01 13:10] Nebadon Izumi: we have been cleaning it up a bit
[2012/04/01 13:10] Nebadon Izumi: i redid the teleporter system
[2012/04/01 13:11] Nebadon Izumi: Key lightened up the colors in here
[2012/04/01 13:11] Richardus Raymaker: question about that nebadon
[2012/04/01 13:11] Nebadon Izumi: but to be honest, one reason i havent added anything here
[2012/04/01 13:11] Rieeda X: ah it is springtime
[2012/04/01 13:11] Nebadon Izumi: is because it runs like crap
[2012/04/01 13:11] Nebadon Izumi: every town hall things get wierd
[2012/04/01 13:11] Nebadon Izumi: people say they cant see prims
[2012/04/01 13:11] Roken Price: Neb - maybe scaling it back a bit
[2012/04/01 13:11] Nebadon Izumi: we cant move
[2012/04/01 13:11] Rieeda X: t is history
[2012/04/01 13:11] Nebadon Izumi: there isnt that much here though
[2012/04/01 13:11] Richardus Raymaker: why did you not made the buttons so you get teleported when you click ? now you need todo right mouse and choice teleport
[2012/04/01 13:11] Nebadon Izumi: its like 7000 prims
[2012/04/01 13:11] Roken Price: All the empty floors mean a lot of redundant prims
[2012/04/01 13:11] Nebadon Izumi: and a couple 100 scripts
[2012/04/01 13:11] Nebadon Izumi: Wright Plaza has 10 times more stuff
[2012/04/01 13:11] Nebadon Izumi: and it runs fine for the tuesday meeting
[2012/04/01 13:11] Roken Price: Wright runs like a dog, too
[2012/04/01 13:11] Nebadon Izumi: with 20 people
[2012/04/01 13:11] Nebadon Izumi: no
[2012/04/01 13:12] Nebadon Izumi: it doesnt
[2012/04/01 13:12] Nebadon Izumi: not compared to this sim
[2012/04/01 13:12] Roken Price: It's always slow when I go there
[2012/04/01 13:12] Nebadon Izumi: it might be slow on your viewer
[2012/04/01 13:12] dan banner: wright runs well
[2012/04/01 13:12] Nebadon Izumi: but the sim itself runs perfectly
[2012/04/01 13:12] Nebadon Izumi: your probably experiencing viewer lag
[2012/04/01 13:12] Nebadon Izumi: its a lot of content
[2012/04/01 13:12] Nebadon Izumi: thats something totally different though
[2012/04/01 13:12] Rieeda X: the violator needs some flowers on his horn
[2012/04/01 13:12] Roken Price: It may be that
[2012/04/01 13:12] Richardus Raymaker: wright runs not bad yes. only some load time. but thats not strange. still loading fast
[2012/04/01 13:12] Misty Owl: I didnt have any problems when i got here, until the chat lag hit.
[2012/04/01 13:12] Rieeda X: and a bleeding heart in his claws
[2012/04/01 13:12] Nebadon Izumi: Wright Plaza almost never freezes up during meetings
[2012/04/01 13:12] Rieeda X: hehehe
[2012/04/01 13:12] Nebadon Izumi: its something on this server
[2012/04/01 13:13] Nebadon Izumi: i think
[2012/04/01 13:13] Nebadon Izumi: i just don't know why
[2012/04/01 13:13] Nebadon Izumi: Lbsa is also on this server
[2012/04/01 13:13] Roken Price: Oh - lbsa runs a treat - like a dream
[2012/04/01 13:13] dan banner: has to be the one sim/db
[2012/04/01 13:13] Richardus Raymaker: lbsa is crashing more the last time
[2012/04/01 13:13] Richardus Raymaker: so. i follow neb
[2012/04/01 13:13] Nebadon Izumi: Lbsa gets 100's of visitors every day though
[2012/04/01 13:13] Nebadon Izumi: this sim sits idle, and after a fresh restart
[2012/04/01 13:14] Nebadon Izumi: 20 people log in and it dies
[2012/04/01 13:14] Roken Price: Maybe the DB is currupting - oar and flush may help
[2012/04/01 13:14] Nebadon Izumi: within 10 minutes
[2012/04/01 13:14] dan banner: lbsa takes a lot of abuse and actually holds up quite well most of the time
[2012/04/01 13:14] Richardus Raymaker: yes
[2012/04/01 13:14] Nebadon Izumi: ya id be surprised if its the database
[2012/04/01 13:14] Nebadon Izumi: we would see errors on sim console if it was the database
[2012/04/01 13:14] Nebadon Izumi: stuff would be missing
[2012/04/01 13:14] Roken Price: Well, sql is pretty resiliant to corruption - but it can slow it down a lot
[2012/04/01 13:14] Nebadon Izumi: i did however find 2 stray prims
[2012/04/01 13:14] Oddball Otoole: Oh! Another question: I had some gesture lag in the past...no other lag at all, but gestures would lag for at least 10 minutes or so.
[2012/04/01 13:14] Nebadon Izumi: a few million meters off the edge of the sim
[2012/04/01 13:15] Nebadon Izumi: it is possible those are causing issues
[2012/04/01 13:15] Nebadon Izumi: i erased them from db, but sim needs to restart
[2012/04/01 13:15] Nebadon Izumi: probably asset loading
[2012/04/01 13:15] Nebadon Izumi: sometimes animations and sounds take a while to load
[2012/04/01 13:15] Key Gruin: oh
[2012/04/01 13:15] Nebadon Izumi: its something in the simulator itself though
[2012/04/01 13:15] Nebadon Izumi: its not our asset server
[2012/04/01 13:15] Key Gruin: thats a good subject
[2012/04/01 13:15] Key Gruin: animations taking long to load
[2012/04/01 13:16] Oddball Otoole: Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! :D :p :D :p :D
[2012/04/01 13:16] Rieeda X: inthe simulators code?
[2012/04/01 13:16] Nebadon Izumi: ya
[2012/04/01 13:16] Mina Catesby: lolol
[2012/04/01 13:16] Oddball Otoole: gestures are ok here:)
[2012/04/01 13:16] Arthur Numbanumba: lol @ Oddball... :-D
[2012/04/01 13:16] Rieeda X: lol
[2012/04/01 13:16] Key Gruin: lol@oddy
[2012/04/01 13:16] Arthur Numbanumba: i hate that one !
[2012/04/01 13:16] Misty Owl: LOL that worked great LOL
[2012/04/01 13:16] Arthur Numbanumba: hahaha
[2012/04/01 13:16] Nebadon Izumi: ya its probably something in the simulator your in
[2012/04/01 13:16] Nebadon Izumi: threads
[2012/04/01 13:16] Nebadon Izumi: we need to do a lot of things to really improve performance still
[2012/04/01 13:16] Key Gruin: sim is threadbare?
[2012/04/01 13:16] Key Gruin: lol
[2012/04/01 13:16] Nebadon Izumi: its likely related to flotsamcache
[2012/04/01 13:16] Oddball Otoole: Akira did something that fixed that
[2012/04/01 13:16] Key Gruin: ahhh
[2012/04/01 13:16] Roken Price: I'd still like to see an animation priority override on the server
[2012/04/01 13:16] Key Gruin: hmm
[2012/04/01 13:16] Nebadon Izumi: its hard to say
[2012/04/01 13:17] Nebadon Izumi: you can do a "fcache status"
[2012/04/01 13:17] Nebadon Izumi: and see how many assets you have cached
[2012/04/01 13:17] Misty Owl: Maybe have a few parties here and give the sim a really good test and something made show up as a problem.. LOL
[2012/04/01 13:17] Nebadon Izumi: if your up above like 75000 assets
[2012/04/01 13:17] Nebadon Izumi: that can be bad
[2012/04/01 13:17] Nebadon Izumi: you might want to do a "fcache clear"
[2012/04/01 13:17] Nebadon Izumi: then "fcache assets"
[2012/04/01 13:17] Nebadon Izumi: that will clear out all your cache for the sim
[2012/04/01 13:17] Nebadon Izumi: then download just the assets in the simulator
[2012/04/01 13:17] Nebadon Izumi: i suggest not doing that while avatars are in the sim
[2012/04/01 13:17] Nebadon Izumi: as it will clear out peoples bakes
[2012/04/01 13:17] Nebadon Izumi: and you will log into clouds
[2012/04/01 13:18] Nebadon Izumi: until everyone rebakes
[2012/04/01 13:18] Oddball Otoole: I had my first NPC-cloud today!! was fun:)
[2012/04/01 13:18] Key Gruin: ok do that before people arrive
[2012/04/01 13:18] Mina Catesby: Hey Neb, have you seen the thread on animations in the forums? People are trying to figure out what's what...
[2012/04/01 13:18] Mina Catesby: and why they sometimes work and sometimes don't
[2012/04/01 13:18] Nebadon Izumi: its probably good to flush your cache out occasionally
[2012/04/01 13:18] Nebadon Izumi: especially if things start acting up
[2012/04/01 13:18] Nebadon Izumi: if things seem normal, probably best to leave it
[2012/04/01 13:18] Nebadon Izumi: but if you start seeing wierdness, its always something to try
[2012/04/01 13:18] Roken Price: My server has 4400 assets cacheed, so guess I'm good for now :)
[2012/04/01 13:18] Nebadon Izumi: ive seen it Mina, its certainly not something new
[2012/04/01 13:19] Nebadon Izumi: sounds have the same problem
[2012/04/01 13:19] Nebadon Izumi: its just one of those things thats not easy to recreate
[2012/04/01 13:19] Nebadon Izumi: and come up with a formula for testing
[2012/04/01 13:19] Nebadon Izumi: there are lots of factors
[2012/04/01 13:19] Roken Price: /me sees grey people
[2012/04/01 13:19] Key Gruin: grey is supposed to be fixed
[2012/04/01 13:19] Nebadon Izumi: i dunno about that
[2012/04/01 13:19] Mina Catesby: i don't know techie stuff at all... but now that we have some sims on a standalone, the animations seem to work just fine
[2012/04/01 13:20] Roken Price: Both Odd and Jalen are grey
[2012/04/01 13:20] Nebadon Izumi: there will probably always be some grey people
[2012/04/01 13:20] Jalen Optera: /me rebakes just for Roken
[2012/04/01 13:20] Roken Price: :)
[2012/04/01 13:20] Nebadon Izumi: at best its been improved a lot
[2012/04/01 13:20] Nebadon Izumi: but i would not say fixed
[2012/04/01 13:20] Oddball Otoole: look at my age......
[2012/04/01 13:20] Oddball Otoole: ®ebaked like a pro!
[2012/04/01 13:20] Nebadon Izumi: I dont see any grey people
[2012/04/01 13:20] Nebadon Izumi: sometimes if you just cam around a bit
[2012/04/01 13:20] Nebadon Izumi: they will ungrey too
[2012/04/01 13:21] Roken Price: You both undercooked - you are still grey
[2012/04/01 13:21] Nebadon Izumi: there is 2 dozen ways baking can fail
[2012/04/01 13:21] Nebadon Izumi: a lot are actually because of peoples viewer/ video card drivers
[2012/04/01 13:21] Roken Price: Oh - there's some more - Timothy and Jake are also grey
[2012/04/01 13:21] Nebadon Izumi: LL is moving away from the viewer baking avatars
[2012/04/01 13:21] Oddball Otoole: Another question: OSG5B; when do we start preparing for that?
[2012/04/01 13:21] Timothy.Vyper @login.cyberwrld.net:8002: i see everyone just fine. and i am here via hypergrid
[2012/04/01 13:22] Nebadon Izumi: LL has major problems with grey avatars too
[2012/04/01 13:22] Key Gruin: I don't see any grey people
[2012/04/01 13:22] Rieeda X: i see all ppl colored here
[2012/04/01 13:22] dan banner: everyone is in color to me i think
[2012/04/01 13:22] Mina Catesby: yes yes party party!
[2012/04/01 13:22] Arthur Numbanumba: it's the shades no doubt
[2012/04/01 13:22] Key Gruin:
[13:04] Oddball Otoole: 13:03] Oddball Otoole: when do we start with OSG5B preporations?
[2012/04/01 13:22] Nebadon Izumi: its not something thats limited to OSgrid or OpenSim by anymeans
[2012/04/01 13:22] Nebadon Izumi: LL is actually moving to server side avatar baking
[2012/04/01 13:22] Oddball Otoole: lol key:)
[2012/04/01 13:22] Nebadon Izumi: because its a major issue there too
[2012/04/01 13:22] Key Gruin: :)
[2012/04/01 13:22] Nebadon Izumi: relying on OpenGL to bake avatars on the viewer side is risky
[2012/04/01 13:22] dan banner: ya i wonder how thats gonna work
[2012/04/01 13:22] Nebadon Izumi: there are 1000 things that can go wrong
[2012/04/01 13:22] Roken Price: Would that be practical for OSG - with so many servers running on single home machines?
[2012/04/01 13:23] Nebadon Izumi: at some point we are probably going to have to support it
[2012/04/01 13:23] Nebadon Izumi: if LL moves to 100% server side bakes
[2012/04/01 13:23] Roken Price: Well, I suppose unless a sim is busy it won't have much of an impact
[2012/04/01 13:23] Nebadon Izumi: we either move to support it, or we cant use their viewer anymore
[2012/04/01 13:23] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[2012/04/01 13:23] Nebadon Izumi: but i suspect it wont be anytime soon
[2012/04/01 13:23] Key Gruin: will that be better, neb?
[2012/04/01 13:23] Rieeda X: thats cos mos , the cogbot
[2012/04/01 13:23] Timothy.Vyper @login.cyberwrld.net:8002: understandable as we have to kinda move along with their viewer
[2012/04/01 13:23] Nebadon Izumi: maybe within the next year, i dunno
[2012/04/01 13:23] Nebadon Izumi: its hard to say key
[2012/04/01 13:23] Nebadon Izumi: it would be more consistent
[2012/04/01 13:24] Nebadon Izumi: all the bakes would be 100% identical
[2012/04/01 13:24] Nebadon Izumi: unlike now
[2012/04/01 13:24] Nebadon Izumi: right now there are so many versions of OpenGL, OpenJPG, LLKDU
[2012/04/01 13:24] Nebadon Izumi: there are soo many ways baking can fail doing it viewer side
[2012/04/01 13:24] Nebadon Izumi: i cant imagine it could be any worse than it already is
[2012/04/01 13:24] Key Gruin: yeah with all the variations in viewers
[2012/04/01 13:25] Roken Price: Since LL control their servers, not an issue for them, but other grids would need some security in place to prevent leeching of avatar skins server side before it became usable (not so much an issue in OSG - but other grids that still have currency)
[2012/04/01 13:25] Nebadon Izumi: the problem with OpenGL, is every video card does it a little differently
[2012/04/01 13:25] Rieeda X: /me pokes cos mos
[2012/04/01 13:25] dan banner: i dont think appearance here is any worse than sl
[2012/04/01 13:25] Nebadon Izumi: it depends on what drivers your running
[2012/04/01 13:25] Nebadon Izumi: even cards from the same manufacturer can be different
[2012/04/01 13:26] Nebadon Izumi: its really not dan banner
[2012/04/01 13:26] Nebadon Izumi: we do have some things we need to improve
[2012/04/01 13:26] Nebadon Izumi: in terms of inventory loading stuff
[2012/04/01 13:26] Nebadon Izumi: layers, multiple attach points
[2012/04/01 13:26] Nebadon Izumi: but for the most part, they have issues too
[2012/04/01 13:26] Oddball Otoole: gestures, osg5b,...
[2012/04/01 13:26] Nebadon Izumi: its far from perfect in SL
[2012/04/01 13:26] Timothy.Vyper @login.cyberwrld.net:8002: well i can say honestly i haven't seen clouds or grey people in ages honestly. worst i see is walking prims and that is just every so often
[2012/04/01 13:26] Nebadon Izumi: ya OSG5B is coming up soon
[2012/04/01 13:27] Rieeda X: woot woot
[2012/04/01 13:27] Mina Catesby: partaaaay!
[2012/04/01 13:27] Roken Price: Excuse my ignorence - what's OSG5B?
[2012/04/01 13:27] Mina Catesby: :)
[2012/04/01 13:27] Roken Price: Oh - birthday
[2012/04/01 13:27] Oddball Otoole: OSG 5th Birthday
[2012/04/01 13:27] Timothy.Vyper @login.cyberwrld.net:8002: OSgrids 5th birthday
[2012/04/01 13:27] Roken Price: doh!
[2012/04/01 13:27] Timothy.Vyper @login.cyberwrld.net:8002: aww late xD
[2012/04/01 13:27] Misty Owl: Oh cool, I love birthday parties as long as they are not mine :-)
[2012/04/01 13:27] Roken Price: Here was I thinking it was some new feature rich server enhancement
[2012/04/01 13:28] Arthur Numbanumba: lol
[2012/04/01 13:28] Arthur Numbanumba: twice
[2012/04/01 13:28] Timothy.Vyper @login.cyberwrld.net:8002: well... OSG5B is big in thsi aspect
[2012/04/01 13:28] Timothy.Vyper @login.cyberwrld.net:8002: i mean it helps us see how far we have come
[2012/04/01 13:28] Arthur Numbanumba: 5 years is a milestone
[2012/04/01 13:28] Timothy.Vyper @login.cyberwrld.net:8002: i remember way back, when i came here everything was soo noobish
[2012/04/01 13:28] Timothy.Vyper @login.cyberwrld.net:8002: and now
[2012/04/01 13:29] Roken Price: Wow - my AV has been around for half the life of the whole world
[2012/04/01 13:29] Timothy.Vyper @login.cyberwrld.net:8002: we have come a long way in 5 years
[2012/04/01 13:29] Roken Price: I feel like a minor god now
[2012/04/01 13:29] Arthur Numbanumba: hihihi
[2012/04/01 13:29] Misty Owl: lol I am still in diapers here.
[2012/04/01 13:29] Oddball Otoole: I have some things floating in my head for OSG5B...but need some time to translate those things into prims
[2012/04/01 13:29] Richardus Raymaker: mesh, weird. just tested some object. worked fine bnefore. now it dont rezz at all. or invisibl
[2012/04/01 13:29] Mina Catesby: for us noobs, can you tell us what goes on at OSGB5 celebrations?
[2012/04/01 13:29] Key Gruin: ok what we generally do for the OSGB planning
[2012/04/01 13:29] Timothy.Vyper @login.cyberwrld.net:8002: oh dear we have to be careful to not use too much mesh
[2012/04/01 13:30] Timothy.Vyper @login.cyberwrld.net:8002: as so many are still on imprudence
[2012/04/01 13:30] Richardus Raymaker: flip normals (whole build) did not worked
[2012/04/01 13:30] Key Gruin: is put up a special forum for it
[2012/04/01 13:30] Misty Owl: Mesh for objects should be fine, but terrible for clothes !!!
[2012/04/01 13:30] Key Gruin: in the osgrid forums
[2012/04/01 13:30] Roken Price: Rich - mesh gets funny - and can rezz extrememly large depending on the original build scale - if you rezz it and see nothing but start getting pushed into the air - just wait
[2012/04/01 13:30] Key Gruin: so all discussion will be in one place
[2012/04/01 13:30] Richardus Raymaker: ohh, i spoil the SL beta grid for that with testing. so OSG database keeps clean :)
[2012/04/01 13:30] Timothy.Vyper @login.cyberwrld.net:8002: will it be one big mega region like in the past?
[2012/04/01 13:31] dan banner: i hope not
[2012/04/01 13:31] Nebadon Izumi: Havent thought much about it honestly
[2012/04/01 13:31] Key Gruin: I hope not also
[2012/04/01 13:31] Timothy.Vyper @login.cyberwrld.net:8002: why do you hope not?
[2012/04/01 13:31] Richardus Raymaker: roken, i rezzed it before 2 weeks ago. and its normal size
[2012/04/01 13:31] Nebadon Izumi: we'll probably do something new this year
[2012/04/01 13:31] Nebadon Izumi: freshen things up a bit
[2012/04/01 13:31] Roken Price: Oh -My viewer is giving me memory warnings - may crash soon
[2012/04/01 13:31] Key Gruin: I think regular regions would be much better
[2012/04/01 13:31] Key Gruin: region crossings are much better now
[2012/04/01 13:31] Timothy.Vyper @login.cyberwrld.net:8002: i agree megaregions with the tp problems are quite troublesome
[2012/04/01 13:31] Richardus Raymaker: key, phyics verhicles is nicer with mesh
[2012/04/01 13:32] Richardus Raymaker: but you need mega's for verhicles
[2012/04/01 13:32] Roken Price: I hadn't realised - but region crossing is as much to do with the viewer than the server
[2012/04/01 13:32] Key Gruin: lol Rich are we going to have a race track at the party?
[2012/04/01 13:32] Roken Price: crossing is MUCH faster with firestorm than coolvl
[2012/04/01 13:32] Richardus Raymaker: oh, for OSG5B i would say use normal regions
[2012/04/01 13:32] Oddball Otoole: I'm gonna build a crooked museum, with a castle and cleaning robots...
[2012/04/01 13:33] dan banner: roombas
[2012/04/01 13:33] Roken Price: I'd better relog - weird stuff happening with the viewer now
[2012/04/01 13:33] Arthur Numbanumba: :-)
[2012/04/01 13:33] Oddball Otoole: some guitars in it, maybe I'm able to stream some good music, have a proper DJ gig here:)
[2012/04/01 13:34] Oddball Otoole: (or there)
[2012/04/01 13:34] Key Gruin: cool Oddy
[2012/04/01 13:34] Nebadon Izumi: but ya something to start thinking about, I hope you guys can maybe setup some stuff in your own sims for OSG5B as well
[2012/04/01 13:34] Nebadon Izumi: maybe make it less focused on 1 big central place
[2012/04/01 13:34] Oddball Otoole: grid-wide hunt?
[2012/04/01 13:34] Nebadon Izumi: we can spread it around a little more
[2012/04/01 13:35] Key Gruin: yes it ideally would be a member run happening
[2012/04/01 13:35] Misty Owl: If I can be of help, let me know. I have helped with events and hunts.
[2012/04/01 13:35] Roken Price: Does that mean us small independants can't do our bit?
[2012/04/01 13:35] Arthur Numbanumba: ... but what to do...
[2012/04/01 13:35] Nebadon Izumi: sure you can Roken
[2012/04/01 13:36] Roken Price: 'k - I may have an OSG5B eve party :()
[2012/04/01 13:36] Rieeda X: when is it?
[2012/04/01 13:36] Misty Owl: I am good and standing around and telling ppl where they can go, er. ah.. directing them around :)
[2012/04/01 13:36] Nebadon Izumi: we'll probably still have some kind of central region setup
[2012/04/01 13:36] Richardus Raymaker: found 1 item back roken.. the problem is its most times not rezzing to big. but way to small !
[2012/04/01 13:36] Nebadon Izumi: but im just saying lets not put all the focus there
[2012/04/01 13:36] Key Gruin: maybe have a special "continent" reserved for poeple to put their own regions together in
[2012/04/01 13:36] Oddball Otoole: I think a central official OSG5B region that acts as a gateway to other regions
[2012/04/01 13:36] Key Gruin: around the osgrid centeral one
[2012/04/01 13:36] Mina Catesby: Also, is there a theme normally? If there's a planning committee, I volunteer :)
[2012/04/01 13:36] Nebadon Izumi: its at teh end of July
[2012/04/01 13:36] Roken Price: Ahh rich - same problem - it's all about build scale - mine usually come in absolutely huge
[2012/04/01 13:37] Key Gruin: I think Oddy and I just said about the same thing in different words
[2012/04/01 13:37] Nebadon Izumi: maybe like 20th to 25th or something
[2012/04/01 13:37] Nebadon Izumi: we can do several days of events
[2012/04/01 13:37] Nebadon Izumi: give everyone a chance to spread stuff out, avoid to much overlap
[2012/04/01 13:37] Rieeda X: april?
[2012/04/01 13:37] Roken Price: I'm still claiming OSG5B eve lol
[2012/04/01 13:38] Nebadon Izumi: we'll setup a section in the forums
[2012/04/01 13:38] Nebadon Izumi: so people can lay out their plans
[2012/04/01 13:38] Key Gruin: anyways, we can get the OSGB5 forum put up anytime I guess and start the discussion
[2012/04/01 13:38] Misty Owl: OH, it should start a week ahead but a big final event.
[2012/04/01 13:38] dan banner: june isnt it?
[2012/04/01 13:38] Key Gruin: lol
[2012/04/01 13:38] Nebadon Izumi: July
[2012/04/01 13:38] Rieeda X: ok
[2012/04/01 13:38] dan banner: ah july
[2012/04/01 13:38] Rieeda X: reductionism
[2012/04/01 13:38] Nebadon Izumi: end of July, maybe 20th to 25th or something well set the dates
[2012/04/01 13:39] Misty Owl: Or 5 day, one themed for each year.. starting as noobs and showing how big we are now :-)
[2012/04/01 13:39] Mina Catesby: :)
[2012/04/01 13:39] Nebadon Izumi: we still have plenty of time
[2012/04/01 13:39] Nebadon Izumi: but it will come up fast
[2012/04/01 13:39] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[2012/04/01 13:40] Nebadon Izumi: one interesting thing, we will have voice this year
[2012/04/01 13:40] Key Gruin: nice
[2012/04/01 13:40] Richardus Raymaker: hmm still must have my first oar somewhere
[2012/04/01 13:40] Rieeda X: really, richardus?
[2012/04/01 13:40] Jalen Optera: if oddy figures out the osg theme songe we can go karaoke on it in voice.
[2012/04/01 13:41] Key Gruin: hey cool idea
[2012/04/01 13:41] Misty Owl: I think it would be cool, to show how things have grown and done in an area that can be kept up. A museum of sorts.
[2012/04/01 13:41] Roken Price: Damn - yeah - must remember to get voice sorted out on my sim
[2012/04/01 13:41] Rieeda X: i got it now we have first april
[2012/04/01 13:41] Oddball Otoole: >>>LOLL!!!<<<
[2012/04/01 13:41] Rieeda X: no townhall meeting today
[2012/04/01 13:41] Key Gruin: lol
[2012/04/01 13:42] Oddball Otoole: hey, don't steal my museum Idea (with castles, cleaning robots etc)
[2012/04/01 13:42] Nebadon Izumi: brb afk a few minutes
[2012/04/01 13:42] dan banner: k
[2012/04/01 13:42] Oddball Otoole: k, neb is afk, lets share some gossip about him!
[2012/04/01 13:42] Misty Owl: Oh, Odd, did you just offer your museum to be used? LOL< sorry, couldnt resist
[2012/04/01 13:42] Arthur Numbanumba: rofl
[2012/04/01 13:43] Oddball Otoole: hehe:) all are welcome on the museum! (but not more then 5 -10 avies at one time...things tend to crash!)
[2012/04/01 13:43] Misty Owl: This is the first time I have seen him, so not gossip from me.. YET :-)
[2012/04/01 13:43] Jalen Optera: (I don't think thats his real hair)
[2012/04/01 13:44] Mina Catesby: /me begins mulling party fun over in her head
[2012/04/01 13:44] Rieeda X: he types a lot
[2012/04/01 13:44] Misty Owl: Really??? Thing it is a wig.. wow
[2012/04/01 13:44] Oddball Otoole: well, word is, he didn't change outfits for at least 6 months!
[2012/04/01 13:44] Arthur Numbanumba: :-D
[2012/04/01 13:44] Rieeda X: typical programmer
[2012/04/01 13:44] Misty Owl: LOL probably sleeps in the same clothes.
[2012/04/01 13:44] Oddball Otoole: ya
[2012/04/01 13:45] Rieeda X: hmm apropos sleeping
[2012/04/01 13:45] Jalen Optera: sometimes he wears a construction hat and sometimes he is a alien so he has a range.
[2012/04/01 13:45] Oddball Otoole: I think he never ever washed his wig decently.
[2012/04/01 13:45] Mina Catesby: he looks alot like those guys roaming around Wright Plaza
[2012/04/01 13:45] Misty Owl: I have a washer and dryer at my place, should I offer him laundry service?
[2012/04/01 13:45] Mina Catesby: xD
[2012/04/01 13:46] Richardus Raymaker: sometime she start to clone
[2012/04/01 13:46] Misty Owl: I can wash the clothes, but maybe a shower installed for washing avie..
[2012/04/01 13:46] Rieeda X: SL has good sexshowers
[2012/04/01 13:46] Jalen Optera: we have lots of water
[2012/04/01 13:46] Roken Price: OS has more secluded places
[2012/04/01 13:46] Rieeda X: but would use it naked
[2012/04/01 13:46] Oddball Otoole: I tried to clone myself; ended up as a cloud
[2012/04/01 13:53] Arthur Numbanumba: bye Misty
[2012/04/01 13:54] Key Gruin: I like the idea of say, one official OSGrid region surrounded by member's regions who have their sims set up for the party
[2012/04/01 13:54] Mercalia Beck: what party is this?
[2012/04/01 13:54] Key Gruin: OSGB5
[2012/04/01 13:54] Oddball Otoole: Moving to the next subject: The Moat (and the boardwalk we are building)
[2012/04/01 13:54] Mina Catesby: that sounds cool :)
[2012/04/01 13:54] Mercalia Beck: oh
[2012/04/01 13:54] Richardus Raymaker: hi merc
[2012/04/01 13:54] Oddball Otoole: rewinding a bit.
[2012/04/01 13:54] Mercalia Beck: evening richard
[2012/04/01 13:55] Roken Price: I thought the moat was a done and dusted subject - at least that was how I read the forum thread
[2012/04/01 13:55] Mercalia Beck: it would nice if there was a memorial garden some where on a plaza
[2012/04/01 13:55] Arthur Numbanumba: /me makes a note to read more of the forums
[2012/04/01 13:55] Key Gruin: memorial for whom?
[2012/04/01 13:56] Mercalia Beck: for ppl who have passed away
[2012/04/01 13:56] Roken Price: Merc - Mystic has a merorial gardens
[2012/04/01 13:56] Key Gruin: oh yeah good idea
[2012/04/01 13:56] Oddball Otoole: I'm have region on the moat now, gonna kick some live in it:)
[2012/04/01 13:56] Arthur Numbanumba: Mercalia... Mystic did one
[2012/04/01 13:56] Arthur Numbanumba: s/did/has
[2012/04/01 13:56] Mercalia Beck: well the persom donating the region can recall offer any time
[2012/04/01 13:56] Mercalia Beck: only need a small garden some where
[2012/04/01 13:57] Mercalia Beck: that wont vanish
[2012/04/01 13:57] Key Gruin: I might have space
[2012/04/01 13:57] Mercalia Beck: must be on a plaza
[2012/04/01 13:57] Roken Price: I'm sure if there was an issue wshe would be given notice and somewhere else could be arranged
[2012/04/01 13:57] Key Gruin: really?
[2012/04/01 13:57] Mercalia Beck: should be
[2012/04/01 13:58] Roken Price: I've IM'd Mystic to tell her this conversation is happening and invited her over
[2012/04/01 13:58] Mercalia Beck: ok
[2012/04/01 13:58] Roken Price: It's not fairt to hold the conversation in her absence
[2012/04/01 13:58] Mercalia Beck: well its only a suggeston
[2012/04/01 13:58] Key Gruin: Oddy, what about the moat walk?
[2012/04/01 13:59] Mercalia Beck: could plaques on teh side of the moat walk?
[2012/04/01 13:59] Mercalia Beck: be
[2012/04/01 13:59] Mercalia Beck: what ever that is
[2012/04/01 13:59] Roken Price: Kinda like the Hollywood stars
[2012/04/01 13:59] Roken Price: ?
[2012/04/01 14:00] Mercalia Beck: yes
[2012/04/01 14:00] Oddball Otoole: It's a community thing Key. I feel there is a decent OSgrid community rising...(see the memorial discussion now)
[2012/04/01 14:00] Mercalia Beck: its not as if there will be 100's there
[2012/04/01 14:00] Key Gruin: oh I know what it is
[2012/04/01 14:00] Key Gruin: I thought you had something to say about it here :)
[2012/04/01 14:01] Oddball Otoole: I'm more then willing to have plaques on my boardwalk.
[2012/04/01 14:01] Oddball Otoole: Another time:)
[2012/04/01 14:01] Oddball Otoole: key/
[2012/04/01 14:01] Mercalia Beck: the point i make is that should be some where on an offcial reion
[2012/04/01 14:01] Mercalia Beck: region
[2012/04/01 14:01] Oddball Otoole: following the meorial thing now.
[2012/04/01 14:01] Key Gruin: ok
[2012/04/01 14:01] Mercalia Beck: so it lasts as long as osgrid lasts
[2012/04/01 14:01] Roken Price: I think Mystic is coming on over
[2012/04/01 14:02] Mercalia Beck: ok
[2012/04/01 14:02] Key Gruin: ok who else is there besides Tasha?
[2012/04/01 14:02] Mercalia Beck: none that i know of
[2012/04/01 14:02] Key Gruin: ahh ok
[2012/04/01 14:02] Arthur Numbanumba: hmm
[2012/04/01 14:02] Mercalia Beck: thats why simple plaques on a wall a good idea
[2012/04/01 14:03] Oddball Otoole: Why Mercalla? People pass away all the time, how hard that is. Why should we, or OSgrid, do stuff for that?
[2012/04/01 14:03] Key Gruin: yeah well it sounds like a good idea to me
[2012/04/01 14:03] Richardus Raymaker: right now, nobody sofar i know
[2012/04/01 14:03] Mercalia Beck: well Tasha V iolet 's regions a loss
[2012/04/01 14:03] Key Gruin: if you passed on Oddy I would like to see some kind of memorial
[2012/04/01 14:03] Roken Price: There's also the other matter to think of - that's those who die - and no-one knows. In OSG people come and go all the time
[2012/04/01 14:04] Mercalia Beck: well cant do much about that roken?
[2012/04/01 14:04] Oddball Otoole: (oddy is starting a discussion here, no hard feelings, I'm more then willing to spend some prims on this cause!)
[2012/04/01 14:04] Mina Catesby: well there's a difference between being on OSG and contributing to the community... people who contribute to the community are usually known... i would think :)
[2012/04/01 14:05] Roken Price: I agree that there are some high profile names, but there have been contributors who just vanished in the past
[2012/04/01 14:05] Oddball Otoole: If I die, folks will remember me, with or without region.
[2012/04/01 14:05] Arthur Numbanumba: people who contibute substacially to RL society get recognition... natural to initiate something similar here in too... indeed
[2012/04/01 14:05] Mercalia Beck: well there is no reason why some thing couldnt be done for thsoe also
[2012/04/01 14:05] Arthur Numbanumba: excuse the spelling
[2012/04/01 14:06] Mina Catesby: Mercalia, sort of the "unknown soldier" type memorial for all of those who have passed on that we are unaware of?
[2012/04/01 14:06] Mercalia Beck: well even more
[2012/04/01 14:06] Mercalia Beck: names of ppl who were here for some time then not
[2012/04/01 14:07] Mercalia Beck: gone with no notice
[2012/04/01 14:07] Mercalia Beck: no reason
[2012/04/01 14:07] Mercalia Beck: but known
[2012/04/01 14:09] Arthur Numbanumba: hmm... how does one measure "subsatancial contribution"...
[2012/04/01 14:09] Arthur Numbanumba: -a
[2012/04/01 14:09] Arthur Numbanumba: :-)
[2012/04/01 14:09] Mercalia Beck: didnt say that
[2012/04/01 14:09] Richardus Raymaker: thats the same as makeing a special page on osgrid with important people from .....
[2012/04/01 14:09] Arthur Numbanumba: i did
[2012/04/01 14:09] Mercalia Beck: u know if a person strangly vanishes
[2012/04/01 14:10] Mercalia Beck: or maybe a web page
[2012/04/01 14:10] Key Gruin: the wiki
[2012/04/01 14:10] Mercalia Beck: another possibilty
[2012/04/01 14:10] Mercalia Beck: then just a marker some where
[2012/04/01 14:10] Mercalia Beck: to it
[2012/04/01 14:11] Mina Catesby: sorry, RL is dragging me away.... see you all soon xoxoxo
[2012/04/01 14:11] Mercalia Beck: bye
[2012/04/01 14:12] Mercalia Beck: on aother matter it would be nice to have a small sign to the wright plaza travel centre near the box of lms in lbsa
[2012/04/01 14:12] Key Gruin: afk for a bit
[2012/04/01 14:12] Mercalia Beck: there are about 50 regions there now showcased
[2012/04/01 14:13] Arthur Numbanumba: :-o
[2012/04/01 14:13] Mercalia Beck: and a good place for new ppl to start off
[2012/04/01 14:13] Mercalia Beck: i think
[2012/04/01 14:13] Mercalia Beck: a small version of the round sign i have out side alreasy
[2012/04/01 14:13] Mercalia Beck: already
[2012/04/01 14:13] Mercalia Beck: blue and red
[2012/04/01 14:14] Arthur Numbanumba: maybe you should be in the boxes too
[2012/04/01 14:14] Mercalia Beck: hmm
[2012/04/01 14:15] Mercalia Beck: it seems this meeting over?
[2012/04/01 14:15] Oddball Otoole: maybe the admins should make a destination guide:)
[2012/04/01 14:15] Mercalia Beck: or this is how many came to dy?
