Future expansion would involve buying more, or more powerful servers in the U.S. Expansion is most sustainable when hosting companies and OSgrid donors come together to provide the means to do so. The most cost-effective method is to purchase hardware (rather than rent it) using OSgrid donor money, and then colocate the server in a datacenter. Colocated servers cost less over time, and when hosting companies agree to donate rack space and/or bandwidth, colocated servers are free after the initial purchase.
