New page

== Some summary notes from the meeting ==

: * The distinction between OSGrid-managed resources (grid servers, plazas) and user-managed resources (non-plaza sims) is non-obvious. Some people take instability of a particular sim as a reflection on overall OSGrid (and OpenSim) stability.
:: * The new user welcome area should be as stable as reasonably possible. This is often a person's first exposure to OpenSim.
: * OSGrid being an OpenSim "test grid" means different things to different people. This could use some clarification on http://osgrid.org
:: * One particular point to make clear is that being a "test grid" does not mean people not interested in testing have to look elsewhere. OSGrid can be different things to different people.
: * More specific information on the website regarding the status of donations and what they'll be used for should be added.
: * Some people are looking for volunteer opportunities.
: * People expressed interest in groupings of regions by relative stability (e.g. group regions hosted in data centers together), which was brought up by Adam Frisby back during OSG2B. Currently we lack the tools to enforce this.
