Log from OSGrid Town Hall meeting (2010-01-21 UTC)

Note: times in below log are US/Pacific

[2010/01/20 16:09] Dave Coyle: ok, i think it's safe to get started. might have a couple people show up later...
[2010/01/20 16:09] Michael Skelito: someone ring the church bell
[2010/01/20 16:09] Baewyn Celara: Maybe some stretchy shirts and pants?
[2010/01/20 16:09] Jeeper Shim: Hiya Grey
[2010/01/20 16:09] Baewyn Celara: A shirt perhaps Ci?
[2010/01/20 16:09] Cilla Teebrook: got a seat for you here Key
[2010/01/20 16:09] Ci Sense: lol
[2010/01/20 16:09] Dave Coyle: first, welcome to this week's OSGrid Town Hall meeting...
[2010/01/20 16:09] Jeeper Shim: errr Ruth lol
[2010/01/20 16:09] Greybeard Thinker: hey Jeep
[2010/01/20 16:09] Ci Sense: thanks Dave
[2010/01/20 16:09] Greybeard Thinker: damned screwed up systems
[2010/01/20 16:09] Dave Coyle: for those who haven't been before, this is an open forum for you to talk about your experiences on the grid, what works, what doesn't, what's broken, what's great...
[2010/01/20 16:10] Dave Coyle: first i'll start off with one bit of info...
[2010/01/20 16:10] Ci Sense listens carefully
[2010/01/20 16:10] Dave Coyle: as you might know, we migrated to new asset server hardware over the weekend...
[2010/01/20 16:10] Auti Blanco: in general, i'm satisfied, tho there are some prblrms, but i have first to take a pi
[2010/01/20 16:10] Dave Coyle: but we're having some residual performance issues we're dealing with...
[2010/01/20 16:11] Dave Coyle: so some of you may have noticed at times textures in a sim may be greyed out...
[2010/01/20 16:11] Dave Coyle: moreso than normal...
[2010/01/20 16:11] Dave Coyle: then eventually everything goes back to normal...
[2010/01/20 16:11] Dave Coyle: we've gotten to the point where we can spot when it happens...
[2010/01/20 16:11] Dave Coyle: but we're still trying to determine cause...
[2010/01/20 16:12] Dave Coyle: we're working on it right now, actually, so if i space out it's because i'm chatting in another window. :)
[2010/01/20 16:12] Dave Coyle: that's really all i've been working on the past week....
[2010/01/20 16:12] Dave Coyle: adelle, you have anything to add?
[2010/01/20 16:12] Michael Skelito: anything we can do to help?
[2010/01/20 16:12] Ci Sense: great job with the server hardware
[2010/01/20 16:12] Adelle Fitzgerald: just about the up coming grid services upgrade
[2010/01/20 16:12] Adelle Fitzgerald: i think you mentioned it last week
[2010/01/20 16:13] Adelle Fitzgerald: just again, just to give a heads up about it
[2010/01/20 16:13] Auti Blanco: dave, what sometimes happens is that, when i restart the sim i find out thet some prims most theire textures. And those werent the last prims i worked on
[2010/01/20 16:13] Auti Blanco: most=lost
[2010/01/20 16:13] Dave Coyle: michael: if you see the issue, or think you see it, and you can get a couple UUIDs of the missing items, if you could send them my way that would be great
[2010/01/20 16:13] Dave Coyle: irc (coyled) or email ([email protected])
[2010/01/20 16:13] Michael Skelito: like earlier?
[2010/01/20 16:13] Adelle Fitzgerald: hehe, i thought you was replying to me Dave
[2010/01/20 16:14] Dave Coyle: ci: thanks. hopefully it'll be completely sorted soon.
[2010/01/20 16:14] Baewyn Celara: Will that work for prim attachments that aren't rezzing?
[2010/01/20 16:14] Adelle Fitzgerald: anyway, soon, within the next few weeks we will be upgrading the grid services for OSgrid
[2010/01/20 16:14] Adelle Fitzgerald: a date has not been decided as yet, as they are still being developed
[2010/01/20 16:14] WhiteStar Magic: The Great Refactor of 0110 :D
[2010/01/20 16:14] Ci Sense: Dave, it's been transparent to me, no complaints here
[2010/01/20 16:14] Dave Coyle: auti: do they eventually come in?
[2010/01/20 16:14] Key Gruin: will there be a noticeablel improvement with the upgrade?
[2010/01/20 16:14] Dave Coyle: the textures?
[2010/01/20 16:14] Adelle Fitzgerald: but one thing i caught is that when this happens, everyone will probably be ruthed
[2010/01/20 16:14] Arielle Popstar: is that the .0 version?
[2010/01/20 16:14] Arielle Popstar: 7.0
[2010/01/20 16:15] Adelle Fitzgerald: just a one-time occurence
[2010/01/20 16:15] Jeeper Shim: good time for Ruth day hehe
[2010/01/20 16:15] Auti Blanco: wht do u mean by come in? The prims arestill there but i have to redo them
[2010/01/20 16:15] Key Gruin: Hehehe
[2010/01/20 16:15] Adelle Fitzgerald: when we have a date or more information, we will flood every communication method for OSgrid to let you all know
[2010/01/20 16:15] Shez Oyen: Auti, that sounds like cache probs
[2010/01/20 16:15] Key Gruin: yeah Ruth Day
[2010/01/20 16:15] Key Gruin: or Mandy day
[2010/01/20 16:16] Adelle Fitzgerald: hehe
[2010/01/20 16:16] Arielle Popstar: ;)
[2010/01/20 16:16] Dave Coyle: auti: i mean is something missing and then all of a sudden magically appears where it was supposed to be... a rezzed prim or a texture?
[2010/01/20 16:16] Jeeper Shim: baaahh mandy
[2010/01/20 16:16] Jeeper Shim: lol
[2010/01/20 16:16] Key Gruin: lol
[2010/01/20 16:16] Auti Blanco: no, that isnt the case
[2010/01/20 16:16] Key Gruin: bah Barry Manilow
[2010/01/20 16:16] Michael Skelito: I sometimes see the signs at lbsa as balls
[2010/01/20 16:16] Auti Blanco: that problem is known by le, for sure by nested prims
[2010/01/20 16:16] Auti Blanco: le=me
[2010/01/20 16:17] WhiteStar Magic: I've been doing a lot of texture work and have not seen these issues, but as of today I am running @ head and no complaints on it.
[2010/01/20 16:17] Adelle Fitzgerald: Michael, that is to do with the asset server issues we are having at present
[2010/01/20 16:17] Michael Skelito: kk
[2010/01/20 16:17] Key Gruin: ball is the root prim of a sculpty
[2010/01/20 16:17] Arielle Popstar: will the new version be supporting sqlite or should i get ready to study mysql?
[2010/01/20 16:17] Michael Skelito: textured tho :)
[2010/01/20 16:17] Greybeard Thinker: it better
[2010/01/20 16:17] Ci Sense votes for sqlite support
[2010/01/20 16:17] Adelle Fitzgerald: if your assets are in the asset cache of your region or viewer cache, you probably won't notice any effect
[2010/01/20 16:18] Auti Blanco: arielle, u dont have to studie that, u can set it up more easily then setting op OpenSim
[2010/01/20 16:18] Adelle Fitzgerald: though it could vary from region to region depending how they are setup
[2010/01/20 16:18] WhiteStar Magic: there has been chatter about discontinuing SqlLite
[2010/01/20 16:18] Greybeard Thinker: not
[2010/01/20 16:18] Shez Oyen: I couldn't.. I fell back to my backup.
[2010/01/20 16:18] Adelle Fitzgerald: Ws, thats a tuesday thing really
[2010/01/20 16:18] WhiteStar Magic: so... really I would not hold my breath
[2010/01/20 16:18] Shez Oyen: I am happy with lite
[2010/01/20 16:18] Key Gruin: I had trouble with MySQL
[2010/01/20 16:18] Shez Oyen: no lag problems etc yet.
[2010/01/20 16:18] Greybeard Thinker: same Key
[2010/01/20 16:18] Greybeard Thinker: MySQL is rubbish for me
[2010/01/20 16:18] Michael Skelito: before I forget...can someone fix the sits in the couches at lbsa?
[2010/01/20 16:19] Key Gruin: I hope we can keep the lite option
[2010/01/20 16:19] Adelle Fitzgerald: ok, since everyone is talking about it....SQLite....
[2010/01/20 16:19] Auti Blanco: i have set it up without any knowledgde of mySQL, ad it worked in a few hours after searching some problems
[2010/01/20 16:19] Adelle Fitzgerald: there is a problem with SQLite running on the latest version of mono, it just does not work
[2010/01/20 16:20] Key Gruin: hmm
[2010/01/20 16:20] WhiteStar Magic: MySql is a 10 minute install and out of teh box will do what it has to for OpenSim
[2010/01/20 16:20] Shez Oyen: whew I'm on Framework
[2010/01/20 16:20] Greybeard Thinker: that's a Mono problem then because it runs fine under windows
[2010/01/20 16:20] Adelle Fitzgerald: also, with the up comming grid services upgrade, unless a dev steps in to do the upgrade to SQLite, then it will possibly be dropped
[2010/01/20 16:20] Greybeard Thinker: shit
[2010/01/20 16:20] Shez Oyen: hmph
[2010/01/20 16:20] Ci Sense: SQLite is important for helping new users, it's so much easier to install a sim
[2010/01/20 16:20] Adelle Fitzgerald: yes, i agree
[2010/01/20 16:21] Greybeard Thinker: keep it
[2010/01/20 16:21] Auti Blanco: true
[2010/01/20 16:21] Adelle Fitzgerald: and it has caused much contraversy on the dev mailing list
[2010/01/20 16:21] Michael Skelito: but then they dont switch :)
[2010/01/20 16:21] Greybeard Thinker: it's the only db that works for
[2010/01/20 16:21] Adelle Fitzgerald: but unless a dev steps up to do the work, it may get left behind
[2010/01/20 16:21] WhiteStar Magic: http://chapter-and-metaverse.blogspot.com/2008/11/4-migrating-to-mysql.html
[2010/01/20 16:21] Shez Oyen: I read that
[2010/01/20 16:21] WhiteStar Magic: While it is dated, it's a solid tut and walk through
[2010/01/20 16:21] Shez Oyen: and a bunch of other stuff
[2010/01/20 16:21] Shez Oyen: no joy
[2010/01/20 16:21] Greybeard Thinker: i've been there done that and I just cant get MySQL to work
[2010/01/20 16:22] Key Gruin: that page is missing info
[2010/01/20 16:22] Shez Oyen: the snobbery around dbase systems is as bad as the one around OS's
[2010/01/20 16:22] Ci Sense: alternatively provide a transparent mySQL installation for new users
[2010/01/20 16:22] Cilla Teebrook: ***raises hand to ask a question when it is ok.
[2010/01/20 16:22] WhiteStar Magic: Ahhh... I'm IBM your Apple mentality indeed
[2010/01/20 16:22] Dave Coyle: sure, cilla
[2010/01/20 16:22] Adelle Fitzgerald: just ask Cilla, no need to ask to ask :)
[2010/01/20 16:22] Cilla Teebrook: One thing I was experiencing was trying to use the Stargates. I am not sure if the upgrade effected how they function.
[2010/01/20 16:23] Cilla Teebrook: did they?
[2010/01/20 16:23] Ci Sense: Cilla, stargates are tricky they need a lot of power ;)
[2010/01/20 16:23] Baewyn Celara: generally a DHD
[2010/01/20 16:23] Baewyn Celara: I've yet to see one on here :)
[2010/01/20 16:23] WhiteStar Magic: The Stargates which use my code are still functional, provided teh appropriate osFunctions are enabled in OpenSim.ini
[2010/01/20 16:23] Arielle Popstar: the one at Samsara has been working better then be4 for me
[2010/01/20 16:23] Key Gruin: Stargates need to be configured by the region owner
[2010/01/20 16:23] Cilla Teebrook: it worked one day and next failed
[2010/01/20 16:24] Cilla Teebrook: Samsara worked one day then failed.. I tried one other as well
[2010/01/20 16:24] Cilla Teebrook: Snoopy suggested the upgrade may have effected it
[2010/01/20 16:24] Nebadon Izumi is Online
[2010/01/20 16:24] WhiteStar Magic: I think teh Samsara gate is someone elses code
[2010/01/20 16:25] WhiteStar Magic: but many folks are still using my coded ones without issue
[2010/01/20 16:25] Nebadon Izumi is Offline
[2010/01/20 16:25] Cilla Teebrook: ok. it jsut sounds like a keep trying kinda thing
[2010/01/20 16:25] Arielle Popstar: to finish the sql info then...how long before we will need to upgrade if it is dropped?
[2010/01/20 16:25] Cilla Teebrook: another item I'd like to ask is this
[2010/01/20 16:25] Greybeard Thinker: or use Star's better doced one?
[2010/01/20 16:25] Cilla Teebrook: ok
[2010/01/20 16:25] Greybeard Thinker: coded*
[2010/01/20 16:25] Adelle Fitzgerald: im really not sure Arielle
[2010/01/20 16:26] Michael Skelito: will it still work?
[2010/01/20 16:26] Adelle Fitzgerald: i still dont know if it will be dropped
[2010/01/20 16:26] Arielle Popstar: when do you expect the new version to be out?
[2010/01/20 16:26] Arielle Popstar: roughly
[2010/01/20 16:26] Adelle Fitzgerald: again, i have no idea yet, its still being developed atm
[2010/01/20 16:26] Arielle Popstar: ok
[2010/01/20 16:26] Arielle Popstar: ty Adelle
[2010/01/20 16:26] Shez Oyen: So the skyis not falling.. yet.
[2010/01/20 16:27] Arielle Popstar: :)
[2010/01/20 16:27] Cilla Teebrook: As a consumer here .. and I am very thankful for the use of land for free. But how can I judge the integrity of the owner? How often should I expect down time and communication from the owner?
[2010/01/20 16:27] Adelle Fitzgerald: its near completion, but we dont know if we will roll it out right away, or not, or setup some kind of testing prior, so I cant give any answer, even roughly atm
[2010/01/20 16:27] Auti Blanco: is it possible to put the sql configuration in a seperate ini file, coz i have always to backup my ini file before updating Open Sim
[2010/01/20 16:27] Adelle Fitzgerald: you will get to hear about it though with as much notice as possible
[2010/01/20 16:28] Dave Coyle: cilla: if it's one of the homestead parcels (in Teravus Plaza or SeaPrior Plaza), those are operated by osgrid iteself
[2010/01/20 16:28] Dave Coyle: otherwise... there's no good answer
[2010/01/20 16:28] Adelle Fitzgerald: Cilla, that is a very hard one to answer, I suppose you could class that along the same lines as 'how can i judge the integrity of a person'
[2010/01/20 16:29] Dave Coyle: this community is still relatively young
[2010/01/20 16:29] Dave Coyle: you could ask around
[2010/01/20 16:29] Lafe Baxton: Startgate = way to go to another Grid with out logging off?
[2010/01/20 16:29] Ci Sense: off to rl ...cja later
[2010/01/20 16:29] Dave Coyle: or ask in the forums
[2010/01/20 16:29] Baewyn Celara: @lafe yes
[2010/01/20 16:29] dan banner: lafe: yes
[2010/01/20 16:29] Lafe Baxton: TY
[2010/01/20 16:29] Cilla Teebrook: ahhh yes . .the forums. .thank you for that suggestion
[2010/01/20 16:29] Michael Skelito: why arent they called grid gates lol
[2010/01/20 16:29] Cilla Teebrook: hehe
[2010/01/20 16:30] Greybeard Thinker: coz stargate sounds more techy?
[2010/01/20 16:30] Key Gruin: Cilla there's a Region Showcase section in the forums
[2010/01/20 16:30] dan banner: and they look like a stargate :P
[2010/01/20 16:30] Key Gruin: where people generally jpost available parcels
[2010/01/20 16:30] Michael Skelito: I think of Jack Oneil and tilk
[2010/01/20 16:30] Arielle Popstar: yes Lafe
[2010/01/20 16:30] Baewyn Celara: quantum mirror would be more accurate for an analygy
[2010/01/20 16:30] Cilla Teebrook: thank Key
[2010/01/20 16:30] WhiteStar Magic: look at it Micheal
[2010/01/20 16:30] Lafe Baxton: I see no problems with just logging into the other grid! :)
[2010/01/20 16:30] Greybeard Thinker: its a stargate
[2010/01/20 16:30] WhiteStar Magic: it's a StarGate
[2010/01/20 16:30] WhiteStar Magic: hence the name
[2010/01/20 16:31] Michael Skelito: lol
[2010/01/20 16:31] Baewyn Celara: @Lafe you get to keep your av in theory
[2010/01/20 16:31] Cilla Teebrook: here is my last thought of the day..
[2010/01/20 16:31] WhiteStar Magic: Naw... we like to put the Pixels in a Blender and see what gooshes out
[2010/01/20 16:31] eaglefx Binder is Offline
[2010/01/20 16:31] Cilla Teebrook: Last. is this a good place to ask about sellers getting their designs stolen from what I heard was called "going god mode" and changing perms and creator of all the items on the sim's owners? Is this something that happens often?
[2010/01/20 16:32] Auti Blanco: u cant change creator in god mode, only ownership
[2010/01/20 16:32] Adelle Fitzgerald: i have no idea if it happens often, but it is entirely possible
[2010/01/20 16:32] Greybeard Thinker: only region owner can go to godmode I think Cilla
[2010/01/20 16:32] Cilla Teebrook: I had a designer want to come and he was told this and it scared him off
[2010/01/20 16:32] Adelle Fitzgerald: the best thing to keep in mind is that permissions are useless
[2010/01/20 16:32] Cilla Teebrook: yes region owners going god mode
[2010/01/20 16:32] Baewyn Celara: sounds like SL FUD to me
[2010/01/20 16:32] Adelle Fitzgerald: make your desicions based on that
[2010/01/20 16:32] Michael Skelito: but you cant change creator on region
[2010/01/20 16:33] Greybeard Thinker: way too much bad info about this grid in SL
[2010/01/20 16:33] Shez Oyen: OSgrid and Emerald both have a lot of silly rumors flying about them
[2010/01/20 16:33] Adelle Fitzgerald: you can change creator, and permissions, if you know what you are doing
[2010/01/20 16:33] Michael Skelito: yep
[2010/01/20 16:33] Key Gruin: there is a bunch of stolen items floating around osgrid
[2010/01/20 16:33] Lafe Baxton: How can you steal what is free?
[2010/01/20 16:33] WhiteStar Magic: Cilla, SL / LL have teh exact same powers if not more
[2010/01/20 16:34] Shez Oyen: Good point Whitestar!
[2010/01/20 16:34] Baewyn Celara: Yeah it's amazing what you can do with the database directly on you sim...
[2010/01/20 16:34] Adelle Fitzgerald: not everything here is free, Lafe, some people have tried to and are trying atm to set up commerce here
[2010/01/20 16:34] Shez Oyen: <-- points to her nose
[2010/01/20 16:34] Key Gruin: where the creator name is changed
[2010/01/20 16:34] WhiteStar Magic: and ... really, if someone is determined to take something, be it SL or OSG they can if they know what they are doing
[2010/01/20 16:34] Adelle Fitzgerald: whether it will work, i cant comment
[2010/01/20 16:34] Michael Skelito: who can edit things at lbsa?
[2010/01/20 16:34] Adelle Fitzgerald: grid admins
[2010/01/20 16:34] Cilla Teebrook: thank you
[2010/01/20 16:34] Adelle Fitzgerald: but
[2010/01/20 16:34] Adelle Fitzgerald: it depends
[2010/01/20 16:35] Michael Skelito: when they have time can they tweak the sits in the couch?
[2010/01/20 16:35] Auti Blanco: reminds me of 'Ever 01', there's nothing there but he advertising on twitter
[2010/01/20 16:35] Adelle Fitzgerald: i cant edit scripts from another grid admin there
[2010/01/20 16:35] Key Gruin seconds Skelito's request
[2010/01/20 16:35] Greybeard Thinker: agrees with Auti lol
[2010/01/20 16:35] Adelle Fitzgerald: ahh Adam would have to have a look at that
[2010/01/20 16:35] Michael Skelito: last one too lol
[2010/01/20 16:35] Shez Oyen: lot's of sizzle but no bacon
[2010/01/20 16:35] Adelle Fitzgerald: actually, i would like to see the old couches back there, now its well past christmas ;)
[2010/01/20 16:35] Greybeard Thinker: they are Delle
[2010/01/20 16:35] Adelle Fitzgerald: ill see if i can hound Adam enough to sort it
[2010/01/20 16:35] Arielle Popstar: they are
[2010/01/20 16:35] Adelle Fitzgerald: og
[2010/01/20 16:36] Adelle Fitzgerald: oh
[2010/01/20 16:36] Cilla Teebrook: I just wanted to add. that I hope this doesn't hold back ohter designers from coming here. I want to see us grow.
[2010/01/20 16:36] Key Gruin: I prefer the newer benches
[2010/01/20 16:36] Dave Coyle: yeah, i took down the christmast stuff yesterday
[2010/01/20 16:36] Michael Skelito: same Key
[2010/01/20 16:36] Adelle Fitzgerald: the benches were there yesterday
[2010/01/20 16:36] Cilla Teebrook: YAY
[2010/01/20 16:36] Greybeard Thinker: Adam's sofas have better sit placements
[2010/01/20 16:36] Adelle Fitzgerald: so are the couches back at Lbsa now?
[2010/01/20 16:36] Adelle Fitzgerald: or the benches still?
[2010/01/20 16:36] Michael Skelito: yes
[2010/01/20 16:36] Adelle Fitzgerald: ahh cool
[2010/01/20 16:36] Key Gruin: couches Adelle
[2010/01/20 16:36] Greybeard Thinker: the brown and white ones yes
[2010/01/20 16:37] Michael Skelito: but they need sit tweaking
[2010/01/20 16:37] Michael Skelito: girls sit way in
[2010/01/20 16:37] Greybeard Thinker: tweak your av's legs?
[2010/01/20 16:37] Baewyn Celara: specifically stand tweaking
[2010/01/20 16:37] Key Gruin: not a gender thing
[2010/01/20 16:37] Adelle Fitzgerald: ok, ill have a word with Adam when i get chance, and see if i can maybe make a new script for them, that is adjustable
[2010/01/20 16:37] ARADTech KoolKam is Online
[2010/01/20 16:37] Lafe Baxton: It is height ting
[2010/01/20 16:37] Lafe Baxton: thing
[2010/01/20 16:37] Michael Skelito: nice thankie
[2010/01/20 16:37] Adelle Fitzgerald: nothing fancy just a simple forward/backwards/up/down thing
[2010/01/20 16:38] Greybeard Thinker: the stand thing happens if furniture is not made phantom
[2010/01/20 16:38] Adelle Fitzgerald: leave that with me
[2010/01/20 16:38] Cilla Teebrook: Lafe. are you the one with the horse??
[2010/01/20 16:38] Key Gruin: be cool if the avi can make the adjustments
[2010/01/20 16:38] Cilla Teebrook: es
[2010/01/20 16:38] Lafe Baxton: I have horses , yes
[2010/01/20 16:38] Cilla Teebrook: I'll IM you.
[2010/01/20 16:38] Lafe Baxton: k
[2010/01/20 16:39] Greybeard Thinker: is anybody working on server syncing and mirroring?
[2010/01/20 16:39] Greybeard Thinker: Adam made mention last year
[2010/01/20 16:39] Auti Blanco: not yet
[2010/01/20 16:39] Arielle Popstar: can we have a section of the forum for standalone and hypergrid questions?
[2010/01/20 16:39] Dave Coyle: grid server? or region server?
[2010/01/20 16:39] Greybeard Thinker: of morrirs around the world
[2010/01/20 16:39] ARADTech KoolKam is Offline
[2010/01/20 16:39] Greybeard Thinker: main grid server mirrors for other RL world areas, like EU and Aust\Asia
[2010/01/20 16:40] WhiteStar Magic: OSGrid forums are meant for OSGrid stuff... StandAlones are not attached to OSG
[2010/01/20 16:40] Michael Skelito: is Zaruis still a plaza?
[2010/01/20 16:40] Baewyn Celara: Zarius?
[2010/01/20 16:40] Greybeard Thinker: there was something about standalones in the forum yesterday, huh? Adelle lol.
[2010/01/20 16:40] Adelle Fitzgerald: hehe yes
[2010/01/20 16:40] ARADTech KoolKam is Online
[2010/01/20 16:40] Arielle Popstar: i read it
[2010/01/20 16:40] WhiteStar Magic: The OpenSimulator site is being rebuilt and there should be a new website @ some point in time soon.
[2010/01/20 16:40] Dave Coyle: greybeard: no, not yet. still working on getting the most recent gear in place. then we have the big user server migration adelle mentioned. after that we can talk about what to do next.
[2010/01/20 16:41] Adelle Fitzgerald: i mentioned that there are no forums available for standalone setups
[2010/01/20 16:41] Dave Coyle: michael: yes
[2010/01/20 16:41] Dave Coyle: there's not much there, though
[2010/01/20 16:41] Greybeard Thinker: I read it and commented
[2010/01/20 16:41] Michael Skelito: make a good freebie mall
[2010/01/20 16:41] Arielle Popstar: but many in Osgrid have a standalone
[2010/01/20 16:41] Adelle Fitzgerald: do you know if that will contain a forum, WS?
[2010/01/20 16:41] Greybeard Thinker: I have a standalone for testing before I wreck my grid rewgion
[2010/01/20 16:41] WhiteStar Magic: from what I have heard on the vines, seems to be in the works
[2010/01/20 16:41] Key Gruin: I think it would be good to have a standalone forum
[2010/01/20 16:42] WhiteStar Magic: chat lag
[2010/01/20 16:42] Greybeard Thinker: it's exactly the same software, what works for grid works for standalones too.
[2010/01/20 16:42] WhiteStar Magic: from what I heard in teh vines, it seems that the idea of a forum is tehre
[2010/01/20 16:42] Arielle Popstar: but there is some things different Dave
[2010/01/20 16:42] Dave Coyle: arielle: "standalone" has specific meaning when dealing with opensim. a "standalone" region can't connect to a grid; it's entirely self-contained.
[2010/01/20 16:43] Key Gruin: minor config differences
[2010/01/20 16:43] Greybeard Thinker: that's the only difference though Dave
[2010/01/20 16:43] Arielle Popstar: it is a mini grid in a sense
[2010/01/20 16:43] WhiteStar Magic: That would be a Serverless Arielle
[2010/01/20 16:43] Arielle Popstar: but it does involve the Hg servers
[2010/01/20 16:43] Key Gruin: a grid is any sim with 2 or more regions
[2010/01/20 16:44] Key Gruin: technically
[2010/01/20 16:44] Arielle Popstar: my standalone has 4 regions
[2010/01/20 16:44] Greybeard Thinker: only if you enable HG on it Arielle
[2010/01/20 16:44] WhiteStar Magic: and OpenSim can be HG Enabled
[2010/01/20 16:44] WhiteStar Magic: *any
[2010/01/20 16:44] Michael Skelito: good meeting gots to fly tootles
[2010/01/20 16:44] Michael Skelito: byes
[2010/01/20 16:44] Arielle Popstar: well just a though of not having the standalone forum in another place
[2010/01/20 16:44] Greybeard Thinker: ciao Mike
[2010/01/20 16:44] WhiteStar Magic: .
[2010/01/20 16:44] Adelle Fitzgerald: bye Mike
[2010/01/20 16:45] Key Gruin: seeya Michael
[2010/01/20 16:45] Baewyn Celara: tc Mike
[2010/01/20 16:45] Arielle Popstar: tc Michael
[2010/01/20 16:45] WhiteStar Magic: see ya Micheal
[2010/01/20 16:45] Jeeper Shim: I have to run too. See ya
[2010/01/20 16:45] WhiteStar Magic: bye Jeeper
[2010/01/20 16:45] Key Gruin: seeya Jeeper
[2010/01/20 16:45] WhiteStar Magic: .
[2010/01/20 16:45] Greybeard Thinker: personally I dont see the need for a special standalone forum
[2010/01/20 16:45] Greybeard Thinker: its exactly the same software with exactly the same ahem "features".
[2010/01/20 16:46] Adelle Fitzgerald: if the new OpenSimulator website (when complete) does have a forum, that would be the place for standalone issues
[2010/01/20 16:46] Arielle Popstar: no not exact
[2010/01/20 16:46] Cilla Teebrook: what would it hurt to have one Greybeard?
[2010/01/20 16:46] Adelle Fitzgerald: its the same software, but a different setup and distro, GB
[2010/01/20 16:46] Greybeard Thinker: wouldn't hurt just not really needed
[2010/01/20 16:46] Arielle Popstar: yes, there are sections in the forum that have almost no posts at all
[2010/01/20 16:46] Greybeard Thinker: and yes Arielle exactly the same software
[2010/01/20 16:46] Arielle Popstar: but not the same config Grey
[2010/01/20 16:46] Greybeard Thinker: only ini file configs are different
[2010/01/20 16:47] Adelle Fitzgerald: i disagree Greybeard, one of the things ive noticed over the past is that very few standalone questions get answered on the OSgrid forums
[2010/01/20 16:47] Key Gruin: well people need help on that
[2010/01/20 16:47] Greybeard Thinker: exactly the same opensim.ini file too
[2010/01/20 16:47] Key Gruin: so a forum would be good
[2010/01/20 16:47] Arielle Popstar: different set up
[2010/01/20 16:47] Key Gruin: but there is a section just for Opensim
[2010/01/20 16:47] Adelle Fitzgerald: i think the reason is that most of the members that frequent the OSgrid forums, run their regions connected to OSgrid, so dont have the experience of standalone
[2010/01/20 16:47] Dave Coyle: a standalone has no relevance to osgrid
[2010/01/20 16:47] Greybeard Thinker: whays different? a few config lines?
[2010/01/20 16:47] Key Gruin: which may server the purpose
[2010/01/20 16:48] Nebadon Izumi is Online
[2010/01/20 16:48] Arielle Popstar: you didnt know that a standalone could be accessed from outside of an internal network Grey
[2010/01/20 16:48] Adelle Fitzgerald: you could say it like running windows in a domain, or not
[2010/01/20 16:48] Adelle Fitzgerald: they are the same beast, one has horns, one doesnt
[2010/01/20 16:48] Auti Blanco: why using a standalone, while a region connected to osgrid is free
[2010/01/20 16:48] Greybeard Thinker: moire than you seem to understand Arielle
[2010/01/20 16:48] Key Gruin: OpenSim Software section
[2010/01/20 16:48] Adelle Fitzgerald: some people choose to
[2010/01/20 16:49] Greybeard Thinker: yes I do know
[2010/01/20 16:49] Arielle Popstar: because i have a cap on bandwidth
[2010/01/20 16:49] Lafe Baxton: Why have a region, if you can not share it with others.
[2010/01/20 16:49] Greybeard Thinker: been running over LAN for a very long time with my standalone
[2010/01/20 16:49] Adelle Fitzgerald: because some people choose to
[2010/01/20 16:49] Baewyn Celara: testing Lafe
[2010/01/20 16:49] Dave Coyle: for testing, for building in private
[2010/01/20 16:49] Adelle Fitzgerald: its really a matter of preference and choice'
[2010/01/20 16:49] Key Gruin: yes testing
[2010/01/20 16:49] Key Gruin: offline building
[2010/01/20 16:50] Arielle Popstar: a section for standalones only requires a few extra electrons for the text :)
[2010/01/20 16:50] Dave Coyle: but it's irrelevant
[2010/01/20 16:50] Dave Coyle: a second about linux in a microsoft office support forum is only a few extra electrons, too. :)
[2010/01/20 16:50] Arielle Popstar: its not irrevelllent to me or others who have standalone issues
[2010/01/20 16:50] Dave Coyle: s/second/section/
[2010/01/20 16:51] WhiteStar Magic: the majority of folks here on OSG forums are attached to OSG. Supporting Stand Alone and Serverless and others will require quite a bit of effort
[2010/01/20 16:51] Key Gruin: OpenSim Software: Forum for the discussion fo the installation, operation, tuning and testing of OpenSim software in all it's incarnations
[2010/01/20 16:51] Dave Coyle: if someone wanted to start a general, not-necessarily-osgrid-specific support forum for opensim installs of all kinds, including standalone... that would be fantastic
[2010/01/20 16:51] Key Gruin: that's the one for Standalones
[2010/01/20 16:51] Greybeard Thinker: what issues Arielle? if its opensim it has the same issues whether its standalone HG or ghrid mode
[2010/01/20 16:51] Dave Coyle: but the osgrid forums aren't the place for it, imo
[2010/01/20 16:51] Arielle Popstar: i am not asking the admins to police or answer questions there if thewy dont want
[2010/01/20 16:51] WhiteStar Magic: While a LOT of folks can help with Grid Attached cause we are all running it, a few of us also run SA, Serverless and Other variations
[2010/01/20 16:51] Adelle Fitzgerald: i agree with Dave
[2010/01/20 16:52] Adelle Fitzgerald: the problem, Arielle, is that most of the members that frequent the OSgrid forums sont run standalone
[2010/01/20 16:52] Key Gruin feels like no one heard me
[2010/01/20 16:52] Adelle Fitzgerald: so the replies and answers will be few and far between
[2010/01/20 16:52] Arielle Popstar: office is completly seperate platform
[2010/01/20 16:53] Cilla Teebrook: *** aw strokes Key's forhead
[2010/01/20 16:53] Adelle Fitzgerald: a dedicated standalone forum is the way to go
[2010/01/20 16:53] Key Gruin: stroke me Cilla
[2010/01/20 16:53] Key Gruin: ;)
[2010/01/20 16:53] Adelle Fitzgerald: that way there will be a captive audience
[2010/01/20 16:53] dan banner: key: have a url for that?
[2010/01/20 16:53] Dave Coyle: a dedicated standalone forum somewhere else
[2010/01/20 16:53] Greybeard Thinker: hehehe Daxe
[2010/01/20 16:53] Baewyn Celara whispers: pervy key
[2010/01/20 16:53] Key Gruin: it's in the Osgrid Forum
[2010/01/20 16:53] dan banner: oh
[2010/01/20 16:54] Key Gruin: OSGRID FORUM
[2010/01/20 16:54] Greybeard Thinker: maybe they can ask in the opensim.org forums?
[2010/01/20 16:54] Key Gruin: YES iM A PERV
[2010/01/20 16:54] Cilla Teebrook: hehe
[2010/01/20 16:54] Greybeard Thinker: or read the wiki?
[2010/01/20 16:54] WhiteStar Magic: ORG has no forums at this time
[2010/01/20 16:54] Adelle Fitzgerald: steady on Key :P
[2010/01/20 16:54] Key Gruin: :0
[2010/01/20 16:54] Lafe Baxton: Why is a Grid necessary, why not have Viewers connect to any region, like browsers connect to wed sites
[2010/01/20 16:55] Lafe Baxton: web
[2010/01/20 16:55] Greybeard Thinker: ask Linden Labs that one
[2010/01/20 16:55] Dave Coyle: well, opensimhelp.org is available for anyone who wants to go start a general opensim support forum. :)
[2010/01/20 16:55] Fernando Oliveira is Online
[2010/01/20 16:55] ARADTech KoolKam is Offline
[2010/01/20 16:55] Baewyn Celara: Think of the grid as a web inside the web.
[2010/01/20 16:55] Key Gruin: )opensimhelp.org?
[2010/01/20 16:56] Adelle Fitzgerald: because atm, opensim doesnt support the features to run as seperate entities with things like user and asset transition to other sims
[2010/01/20 16:56] Adelle Fitzgerald: not properly
[2010/01/20 16:56] Adelle Fitzgerald: one day it might
[2010/01/20 16:56] Lafe Baxton: Why two webs ! :)
[2010/01/20 16:56] Lafe Baxton: It is all just IP addresses
[2010/01/20 16:56] Baewyn Celara: *facepalms... analygies aren't my strong suite today
[2010/01/20 16:56] Dave Coyle: lafe: you're asking why use compuserve instead of this thing called the internet. it will come in time, we're just not there yet.
[2010/01/20 16:56] Key Gruin: Dave, opensimhelp.org doesn't come up
[2010/01/20 16:56] Dave Coyle: i know
[2010/01/20 16:56] Dave Coyle: that was my point
[2010/01/20 16:56] dan banner: key: register it
[2010/01/20 16:57] Key Gruin: lol
[2010/01/20 16:57] Dave Coyle: if people want a general opensim support form, create one!
[2010/01/20 16:57] Lafe Baxton: OK, I get it
[2010/01/20 16:57] dan banner: ** server can't find opensimhelp.org: NXDOMAIN
[2010/01/20 16:57] Adelle Fitzgerald: +1 Dave
[2010/01/20 16:57] Cilla Teebrook: YAY
[2010/01/20 16:57] Key Gruin: $8
[2010/01/20 16:57] Dave Coyle: i'm sure logs of people not involved with osgrid would benefit from such a thing
[2010/01/20 16:57] Bade Plaza TeleHUB: Welcome Nebadon Izumi to the Lounge.
[2010/01/20 16:57] Dave Coyle: s/logs/lots/
[2010/01/20 16:57] Arielle Popstar: why spread out the info even further?>
[2010/01/20 16:57] Key Gruin: all you need is a server
[2010/01/20 16:57] Nebadon Izumi: hello everyone
[2010/01/20 16:57] Greybeard Thinker: Hi Neb
[2010/01/20 16:57] Key Gruin: hello Neb
[2010/01/20 16:57] Baewyn Celara: Hi Neb
[2010/01/20 16:57] Adelle Fitzgerald: hey Neb
[2010/01/20 16:57] Arielle Popstar: hard enough to get info now
[2010/01/20 16:58] Cilla Teebrook: hello Neb.. good to see you
[2010/01/20 16:58] Arielle Popstar: Hi Neb
[2010/01/20 16:58] Dave Coyle: arielle, again, because the info is not relevant to osgrid
[2010/01/20 16:58] Arielle Popstar: it gets posted anyway Dave...all i am asking is for it to be under its own section
[2010/01/20 16:58] WhiteStar Magic: OSG is a central point and many are comoing to us for help now... OpenSimulator.org is a freakin mess and everyone hates it. It is spread out everywhere into various blogs, forums, and websites.
[2010/01/20 16:58] Auti Blanco: gtg, bed is calling
[2010/01/20 16:59] Dave Coyle: g'night auti
[2010/01/20 16:59] Greybeard Thinker: night auti
[2010/01/20 16:59] Auti Blanco: cya laters
[2010/01/20 16:59] WhiteStar Magic: It would be ideal if OpenSim.org proper woudl have the site fixed sooner, but it is a huge task
[2010/01/20 16:59] Arielle Popstar: tc Auti
[2010/01/20 16:59] Baewyn Celara: That and many topics don't have their own pages on their wiki.
[2010/01/20 16:59] Adelle Fitzgerald: night Auti
[2010/01/20 16:59] Key Gruin: a moot point is being argued here because of the forum section already available for discussing standalones or naything related to opensim
[2010/01/20 16:59] WhiteStar Magic: GNight Auti
[2010/01/20 16:59] Baewyn Celara: tc Auti
[2010/01/20 16:59] Simulator Version shouts: OpenSim 0.6.9 (Dev) 2257431: 2010-01-18 17:36:38 +0000 (Unix/Mono)
[2010/01/20 17:00] Arielle Popstar: just because it may not have total relevancy to osgrid does not prevent the posts from coming anyway
[2010/01/20 17:00] Adelle Fitzgerald: Arielle, if reaction gird or science sim had a forums for their grid, do you think a question about standalone opnesim would be the right place there?
[2010/01/20 17:00] Adelle Fitzgerald: because OSgrid is no different
[2010/01/20 17:00] Dave Coyle: my earlier point is that i think there's a need for such a thing (a help-each-other-out support forum for all types of opensim uses). opensimulator.org doesn't have one. and it should cover more uses than just connecting to osgrid. so if any enterprising individuals we're looking for a way to contribute...
[2010/01/20 17:00] Key Gruin: *sigh*
[2010/01/20 17:00] Adelle Fitzgerald: though it is closer to opensim core, its still an indipendant grid
[2010/01/20 17:00] Dave Coyle: key: my position is that should be removed. but there's no alternative right now.
[2010/01/20 17:00] Adelle Fitzgerald: well, no, its probably no colser actually
[2010/01/20 17:01] Adelle Fitzgerald: *closer
[2010/01/20 17:01] Key Gruin: ok I missed that Dave
[2010/01/20 17:01] Dave Coyle: you missed it because i hadn't said it yet. ;)
[2010/01/20 17:01] Greybeard Thinker: lol
[2010/01/20 17:01] Key Gruin: ;)
[2010/01/20 17:02] Arielle Popstar: i am suprised i seem to have touched a spot with so much controversy
[2010/01/20 17:02] Adelle Fitzgerald: its not contraversial, its irrelevant
[2010/01/20 17:03] Dave Coyle: i don't consider it controversial, fwiw
[2010/01/20 17:03] Greybeard Thinker: exactly
[2010/01/20 17:03] WhiteStar Magic: it is like asking GM Corp to support Ford or Toyota
[2010/01/20 17:03] Cilla Teebrook: a lot more than "god mode"
[2010/01/20 17:03] Adelle Fitzgerald: right WS, they are all 'cars'
[2010/01/20 17:03] Adelle Fitzgerald: they all have 4 wheels
[2010/01/20 17:03] WhiteStar Magic: but not the same beast
[2010/01/20 17:03] Key Gruin: I don't agree WhiteStar
[2010/01/20 17:03] Arielle Popstar: all the dev's here work on a platform which incldes the standalone part
[2010/01/20 17:03] Key Gruin: it's all about OpenSim
[2010/01/20 17:03] Adelle Fitzgerald: i dont work on standalones
[2010/01/20 17:03] Greybeard Thinker: so there fore all manufacturers must support all models and makes right?
[2010/01/20 17:03] Adelle Fitzgerald: i dont have one
[2010/01/20 17:04] Adelle Fitzgerald: all my work is with grid connected sims
[2010/01/20 17:04] Dave Coyle: i've never touched a standalone
[2010/01/20 17:04] ARADTech KoolKam is Online
[2010/01/20 17:04] Arielle Popstar: the code you create adelle is part and parcel of what make standalones run
[2010/01/20 17:04] Cilla Teebrook: find a need and fill it
[2010/01/20 17:04] Key Gruin: but a lot of osgrid users have
[2010/01/20 17:04] Greybeard Thinker: I have 2 seperate standalones and all issues are common grid HG or standalone
[2010/01/20 17:04] Adelle Fitzgerald: i dont create any code
[2010/01/20 17:04] Baewyn Celara: I'd consider a mechanic incompetent if he couldn't work on different makes.
[2010/01/20 17:04] Lafe Baxton: I started here with a standalone to get a feel for the OpenSim software, it is the same as the grid connected
[2010/01/20 17:04] WhiteStar Magic: I use StandAlone, Serverless & Grid as part of teh testing and work I do
[2010/01/20 17:04] Adelle Fitzgerald: the opensim devs create the code
[2010/01/20 17:04] Adelle Fitzgerald: and they dont use the osgrid forums
[2010/01/20 17:04] Key Gruin: and a standalone is an adjunct to a grid-connected region in many cases
[2010/01/20 17:05] Arielle Popstar: ok
[2010/01/20 17:05] Adelle Fitzgerald: we just use it and test it, in a grid
[2010/01/20 17:05] Arielle Popstar: i'll drop it
[2010/01/20 17:05] Cilla Teebrook: plop
[2010/01/20 17:05] Baewyn Celara: was that a pin?
[2010/01/20 17:05] Adelle Fitzgerald: i do understand what you are asking, but OSgrid forums is the wrong place for it
[2010/01/20 17:06] Nebadon Izumi: is the meeting just starting?
[2010/01/20 17:06] Nebadon Izumi: i dont even know
[2010/01/20 17:06] Nebadon Izumi: lol
[2010/01/20 17:06] Nebadon Izumi: or is it over?
[2010/01/20 17:06] dan banner: we're halfway
[2010/01/20 17:06] Baewyn Celara: nope 30 min in
[2010/01/20 17:06] WhiteStar Magic: 1 hour ago neb
[2010/01/20 17:06] Cilla Teebrook: shame on your Neg. yuor are very late
[2010/01/20 17:06] Nebadon Izumi: cool
[2010/01/20 17:06] Arielle Popstar: no, it is the right place because the people to help with the issues are here
[2010/01/20 17:06] Adelle Fitzgerald: i too would love a standalone forum, so people would get better support for their standalones
[2010/01/20 17:06] Adelle Fitzgerald: but OSgrid is the wrong place for it
[2010/01/20 17:06] Nebadon Izumi: sorry my brain is all scrambly
[2010/01/20 17:06] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[2010/01/20 17:06] Key Gruin: Neb what do you think
[2010/01/20 17:06] Key Gruin: about standalone questions
[2010/01/20 17:06] Key Gruin: in the osgrid forums
[2010/01/20 17:06] WhiteStar Magic: LOL
[2010/01/20 17:07] Dave Coyle: arielle: wouldn't you also benefit from people who use reaction grid? and sciencesim? and v-buisiness? and every other opensim grid out there?
[2010/01/20 17:07] WhiteStar Magic: Ctrl-Alt-R on Brain
[2010/01/20 17:07] Baewyn Celara: *facepalms :-()
[2010/01/20 17:07] Dave Coyle: why restrict your posts to just osgrid people?
[2010/01/20 17:07] Lafe Baxton: OSG = OpenSim Grid, standalone used OpemSim.exe.
[2010/01/20 17:07] Adelle Fitzgerald: lets get SL people to post on ourt forums too
[2010/01/20 17:07] Arielle Popstar: dont know them Dave, so cant say
[2010/01/20 17:07] Adelle Fitzgerald: they are 'sims'
[2010/01/20 17:07] Dave Coyle: stanalone users don't use osgrid.
[2010/01/20 17:07] Greybeard Thinker: yeah why not have a Mac woes forum and ask Linux questions in the Winowds web site too?
[2010/01/20 17:07] Dave Coyle: ...with their standalones
[2010/01/20 17:07] WhiteStar Magic: request AutoBan of Profky Neva
[2010/01/20 17:08] Arielle Popstar: i have both
[2010/01/20 17:08] Adelle Fitzgerald: lol WS
[2010/01/20 17:08] Arielle Popstar: being facetious
[2010/01/20 17:08] Adelle Fitzgerald: i run servers and workstations
[2010/01/20 17:08] Adelle Fitzgerald: i post workstation questions in a workstation forum, and server questions in a server forum
[2010/01/20 17:08] Adelle Fitzgerald: they are both the same fundamental core
[2010/01/20 17:08] Dave Coyle: arielle: you would agree, though, when you're looking for assistance, that a wider audience would be better, yes?
[2010/01/20 17:09] WhiteStar Magic: if(Lastname == Neva) && (Firstname == Profky) FORMAT C: /Q/V
[2010/01/20 17:09] Lafe Baxton: Ditto
[2010/01/20 17:09] Adelle Fitzgerald: you missed /S, WS ;)
[2010/01/20 17:09] Greybeard Thinker: who is Profky Neza?
[2010/01/20 17:09] dan banner: darn, someone already registered standalone.org
[2010/01/20 17:09] Adelle Fitzgerald: umm, no
[2010/01/20 17:09] Adelle Fitzgerald: bah
[2010/01/20 17:09] Adelle Fitzgerald: forget that
[2010/01/20 17:09] Adelle Fitzgerald: i meant /Q
[2010/01/20 17:09] Adelle Fitzgerald is tired
[2010/01/20 17:10] WhiteStar Magic: debug C800:5 doesn't work anymore
[2010/01/20 17:10] Dave Coyle: oh, look at the time. we're over the usual allotted hour... any last items to discuss?
[2010/01/20 17:10] Adelle Fitzgerald: nah, im good
[2010/01/20 17:10] Key Gruin: Newspaper's next meeting is open to public
[2010/01/20 17:11] Adelle Fitzgerald: oh, when is that, Key?
[2010/01/20 17:11] dan banner: when is it key?
[2010/01/20 17:11] WhiteStar Magic: I do think we need a Scripting Library in the forums, much like SL has
[2010/01/20 17:11] Key Gruin: Saturday, 9 pm GMT
[2010/01/20 17:11] Arielle Popstar: not necessarily...i go where i will get the help
[2010/01/20 17:11] Arielle Popstar: and at this time it is Osgrid Forums
[2010/01/20 17:11] Lafe Baxton: Me too
[2010/01/20 17:11] WhiteStar Magic: we have a lot of good scripts mixed in with questions and it's getting hjard for people to find things
[2010/01/20 17:11] Greybeard Thinker: there was a region called OS Library seems to have gone west
[2010/01/20 17:11] Arielle Popstar: as the most knowledgable pewople are here
[2010/01/20 17:12] Adelle Fitzgerald: WS, maybe a sub forum of the current scripting forum?
[2010/01/20 17:12] Dave Coyle: there are plenty of opensim-knowledgable people who don't use osgrid, and never read the osgrid forums, fwiw
[2010/01/20 17:12] Dave Coyle: ok. thanks for coming. i'll post the log on the osgrid wiki ( http://osgrid.org/wiki/TownHallMeeting )
[2010/01/20 17:12] WhiteStar Magic: Just a library where can can post scripts and systems
[2010/01/20 17:12] Greybeard Thinker: also several free LSL script sites on the web
[2010/01/20 17:13] WhiteStar Magic: yes.... there is and I have majority of teh links posted in teh forums...
[2010/01/20 17:13] WhiteStar Magic: but they are not OpenSim directly
[2010/01/20 17:13] WhiteStar Magic: and we have many differences and are working through them
[2010/01/20 17:13] WhiteStar Magic: LSLwiki has no idea about ossl functions
[2010/01/20 17:14] Greybeard Thinker: hehehe
[2010/01/20 17:14] Key Gruin: thanks Dave
[2010/01/20 17:14] Key Gruin: gotta go
